On my recent visit.Name change happening soon.Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care.Name change, but still great patient care.They have recently updated their Electronic Health Record this month to EPIC.Staff - including Providers, are helpful and courteous.Heads up - if you need Physical done for school, be sure to have your documents for the visit. Including immunizations.X-Ray tech travels between several locations.Thanks for your pleasant attentiveness during your transition. Your patient care is very much appreciated.

Saw PA and technician in timely manner for evaluation and blood draw. They followed up as lab results became available. We left for vacation before all lab results were in. The phoned in the required medication at my vacation destination. Outstanding service. Thanks.

I am feeling much better snd Urgent Care of Newtown CT made feel important. Their diagnosis was correct and they really cared about my health which comforted me during my time of not feeling well. Thank you all so much!

I made an appointment over the phone at the Newtown facility. I was lucky enough to arrive and find one person ahead of me. Not too much wait time. The PA was wonderful. Sent me for X-ray in Southbury. PA called a few hours later to give me results. It was a good experience.

I’ve never had a bad experience here until today with my young daughter. The technician was beyond rude (yes you with the tattoos on your neck). She never asked or stated that she was testing for flu/covid until she took the swab from the packaging and I asked her what she was doing. I don’t know who trained you or what schooling you received but you always ask the patient or at least tell them what you are doing. You don’t just do it like you’re in charge. And slamming the door on your way out was really classy as well. All they do do is push unnecessary testing when symptoms don’t support it. Please be extra diligent when taking your children there. Oh and by the way your disposable masks are useless when it comes to preventing anything. This place has become a joke!!

Of course I was not feeling well ( that is why we go there) I was in severe discomfort, I was able to do the pre check ( provide info, co pay) my check in was fast, I was taken in immediately, I was made to feel at ease and in good care right away. The entire staff was kind, sympathetic, professional and thorough. I think I got to see all of them! A test, some blood work, a very comprehensive evaluation. I can not speak highly enough about my confidence in the care I received and the follow up the next day. Thank you!

We booked an appointment for 5pm. We arrived at 5 minutes of 5. We waited 20 minutes in waiting room and then an hour in the room. Only 1 doctor on and 12 patients. Need to have on.call doctor or other ways to help the doctor on duty. Doctor and staff were great and apologetic but it wasnt their fault. Other people werewaiting even longer than us

Super easy to schedule an appointment using the app. I was able to enter all my info and check in on the app as well. Everyone in the office was so nice, from the girl at the front desk to the nurse and the doctor. In and out of the office in 40 minutes with the correct diagnosis and treatment!And the office was extremely clean!I highly recommend this office.

Labor Day weekend is a bad day to get sick. The wait was a bit longer than expected or desired but there was only one MD on that day. Staff , everyone was nice, professional. The place was in good shape. I was a walk in so waited longer than if I had booked online which I didn’t know until I got there. Book online and save the wait.

The staff was so nice! From check-in with Miriam, to prep with Lauren, to my visit with Dr. Steve, everyone was kind, thoughtful and compassionate. I was really impressed. I’m starting to see improvement with the antibiotics today. Thank you all!

The experience was GREAT!!! The wait time was not bad at all. The Doctor and her Assistant were FANTASTIC. Even the front desk was good at juggling start times (for walk ins) and helping you log in. It was a GREAT experience. Thank you Physician One Urgent Care!!! I’ll be back!!!

The staff here is always super friendly and today was no exception. It has been a rough week for me physically and this place has really been a godsend. I absolutely loved the physician. I saw today! They all seemed to really care and I am very pleased.

Worst experience ever at a doctor visit. Made an appointment at 9 am. Appointment was for 11am. Arrived a few minutes early in hopes of getting in. Waited 45 minutes to get into an exam room. Staff took my blood pressure and said the doctor would be right in. Waited 25 minutes for doctor. Opened the door to the exam room and saw the nurse who said the doctor would be right in. I said “ I have been here for over an hour and twenty minutes”. Went back in the room and waited 10 more minutes then got up and walked to the front desk. I told the person working there that I had been waiting for over an hour and a half. That this was ridiculous and that I had to go. Why make an appointment if you are going to be waiting for over an hour and a half and not see a doctor or someone to help? Needless to say, extremely disappointed.

I have been a patient at physicians one since they opened. They are my first choice when I’m not feeling well. I trust them each and every time - I prefer coming to them over my PCP- they take the time to answer any questions I may have. Always confident in the care I receive - from the receptionist to the medical assistants and to the doctors - top notch!

Highly recommend this urgent care! If its not the closest one, it is worth going out of your way assuming its not an emergency! Staff is competent, very kind, they have an appointment system and, if youre walking in, their website tells you how many people in the waiting room. Its great all the way around.

From the moment I walked in to the moment that somebody walked out and held the door for me was a beyond pleasant experience. I walked in looking a hot mess and moving so slow due to back pain. Everybody was so kind, professional, understanding and knowledgeable. I truly hope that this gets shared with the entire team there. Thank you so very kindly.

Everyone was so kind from the receptionist, nurses and doctors. I was so sick and could barely walk. I had made appt online, they took me quickly and even gave me ginger ale. They were thorough in exam.

Showed up early for my appointment waited 34 mins, watched a patient with an appointment after mine get treated before I did?????After 45 mins saw a dr who was great for 3 mins .What happened? Is my time worth nothing? You were not busy.

Completely dissatisfied with this visit. Had an appointment and still waited an hour for absolutely no reason. Kept being told the doctor was coming within five minutes. The provider was hard to understand and did not acknowledge the symptoms. Will not return.

Very professional, courteous,super friendly. The PA who helped me explained in detail the procedures of testing and ordered necessary medicine for my problem. I would recommend this Urgent Care facility in the future. Thank you.

Very convenient hours, and caring staff---I couldnt get in to see my doctor they were booking out for 2 weeks. I got some antibiotics and I was on the mend within an hour. Thank you all!

I was very pleased with my experience at Physicians One. Everyone from the receptionist to the medical assistant to the PA were very professional and a pleasure to work with.

They make appointments which is great! No wait time and you can fill out the paperwork before you go. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor were friendly and knowledgeable. would highly recommend.

This review has been a long time coming but it’s an experience that remains at the back of my mind. December 2022, I came in to get a PCR test done since I lived in Japan and needed one to reenter. We arrived a few minutes before they opened much to the look of disappointment on the faces of the nurses. Once inside we waited for an hour, no word whatsoever as to why there was such a long wait. Eventually my aunt asked them what was going on; computer trouble. Ok, whatever. They go through the paperwork with me and tell me there’s going to be extra charges on the credit card being used, I stated that wasn’t mentioned on the website and the nurse at the receptionist desk rudely replied “it was,” in actuality, if the info IS present, it’s well hidden because I checked the website again (later that evening) and couldn’t find it. Finally I enter the patient room and wait for another 15 minutes, eventually a nurse enters with the PCR kit and asks me if I had the covid shot (medical info that’s none of her concern given the fact I was there for a PCR test), since I have a medical issue that exempts me from taking the vaccine I told her “no,” she very rudely jumps back, I felt disgusted and thought she was classless for acting so unprofessionally, I then made a face showing her I wasn’t pleased with her rude behavior. She then shoves the swab into my nose and and treats me as roughly as she can get away with probably because she was angry with the look I just gave her (I’ve had this test done several times as reference). The doctor entered and told me I had covid, she was polite and professional but didn’t offer any medication. A few months later my husband’s credit card was used by this clinic AGAIN, his bank, thinking this was a fraudulent charge (which it may have been, seeing as how I STILL wasn’t able to find the info discussing the hidden charges being charged the day this happened) they canceled the card, which ended up being inconvenient for us for a short time. When I called the clinic that day, FROM JAPAN, I told the man that answered where I was calling from and quickly told him about the CC issue, he wanted to put me on hold but I asked him not to considering the my location, he said he would call back, I gave him my number. Two hours go by, NO call. Again I call this clinic, a nurse answers, she starts speaking using this extremely unprofessional sounding vocal fry as if middle class Newtown was the Valley of CA. She too was very rude and tried cutting me off when I spoke.Bottom line: I’m glad you guys were bought out by/merged together with another company, hopefully all the rude, incompetent, classless people that had been working there have been replaced by people who value their jobs and want to genuinely contribute to their communities through this type of work.Also, don’t bother sending me that careless copy-pasted apology you send everyone else who leaves a bad rating. Fix your business, that is, if the new company hasn’t straightened you people out by now!

Rude front desk staff long waits (though she warned me when I hobbled in the door) and zero empathy. Couple that with a dirty clinic and misinformation. I was told they dont do imaging, the other urgent care I spoke with said they do. The staff member I saw wouldnt give me an x-ray. Said it was likely a sprain and sent me home with information to take a Tylenol. Go anywhere else if you are actually injured.

Got in in a reasonable amount of time for a holiday. They took good care of me. They call my prescriptions in right away so no lag time there!

I had my first experience with urgent care and was very well looked after by the staff. The doctor was very attentive and helped me to get rid of the pain that had kept me awake the night before.

I went in to urgent care with an intense pain in my head. I mentioned to the people at urgent care that I should be tested for Lyme. They ended up sending me to Quest Diagnostics because I asked how much it would cost to do an entire panel at the office. I was surprised and so was the RN who was standing there to take blood. I ended up going to Yale Hospital ER the next day and found out it was LYME. If Urgent Care had just done what I asked. Anyway, have an advocate with you so you donT get pushed around like I did. You need someone there who can really help you. They are not going to do that.

Excellent care! Kind, caring and skilled staff made getting stitches an easy process. They are definitely my go to for urgent care needs.

The people there were very nice but charging me $75, and analyzing my illness as nothing more than “gargle with salt water” seems simplistic since the following morning my condition exploded into a horrendous cough, choking phlegm which required me to see my pulmonologist for numerous prescriptions.Granted a huge difference between a PA and a Pulmonologist. I should just have waited it out until Monday

Staff is professional and kind.But would have been beneficial to have taken my temp and test for Covid. Tested positive for Covid the following day.

All of the staff were pleasant and attentive. The wait time was minimal. The office is clean and comfortable. The exam and treatment were thorough and appropriate. But what impressed me the most was the human element. They had compassion for what I was going through. Dr. Roberts even shook my hand and personally printed up info and instructions for me at the end of the exam. Very grateful they are so close to where I live and were available when my PCP couldn’t see me for weeks, (for a sick visit)! I will go back any time the need may arise.

It was a great experience today. Everyone very friendly and obviously knowledgable in what they do. After a couple of tests, they quickly determined my condition and gave me a remedy so I could be on my way. Thank you to everyone!

I did telehealth for my child with concern of sinus infection. Nothing was provided even a school note that was promised to appear on my email in 30min. Next day my child ear was effected so we decided to visit this place in person. Despite concern for the ear they were pushing Covid test. Seriously? They still continue with Covid agenda and completely ignore ear pain but advices steroids for nose. Nope we don’t take medicine with black box warnings. Progressively the ear pain was getting worse so we visit our naturopath who issued necessary supplements for ear and sinus infections. This place ignore health concerns and push Covid agenda instead of focusing on patient concerns. Furthermore, front desk was busy filling her nails and other was on the phone texting. Very unprofessional and dismissive place. We will never be back since you jeopardized my child health twice by ignoring the symptoms and not listening . 0 stars. Big waste of time and copay x 2.

I received excellent care from Justin Garrison, PA-C at PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Newtown.Justin Garrison PA-C was professional and caring. He answered all questions completely and in an unhurried, reassuring manner.Nurse Lauren Douglas put me at ease with her friendliness and professionalism.My visit took place on a Sunday! I didn’t have to hear “ your call is important to us,” and then wait endlessly when making my appointment that may or may not have been the same day at facilities open only Monday-Friday. I got great same day care at PhysiciansOne UrgentCare Newtown.

Amazing service as usual. I was able to get an appointment right away. They saw me as soon as I got there and treated me. I would have waited hours at the ER.

This Urgent Care is always wonderful, kind, caring people from the front desk staff to the physicians. I highly recommend them and wish I could have them as my medical doctors!!

There was no wait when I got there and everyone was nice and profesional. The medical assistant was funny and pleasant and the DR was very quick to figure out my illness. Definitely my go-to walk-in!

It was a little confusing when I was checking in, but I was able to be seen. However, PA wouldn’t prescribe me antibiotics because she was saying it’s viral. Even though my symptoms were getting worse: burning eyes, pressure in the head, teeth sensitivity, during sinus rinse- green and brown phlegm would come out and many others. I called my primary next days and she started me on Zpack- felt so much better next day.

Doctors and nurses are very friendly. I booked my appointment online got there a little early but they saw me right away. I had a cut on my hand and needed stitches. My 3 year old was with me, the nurse was so nice and offered to take my daughter outside the room so she wouldnt see the needle and me getting the stitches. She gave my daughter some snacks and put Blues Clues for her to watch. Thank you for such great service. I appreciate it 🙏.

Process was easy to make appointment. Front desk and the nurse were great. Dr was just ok . Didn’t discuss any options if cold got worse so wound up having to see my primary dr. anyway.

With the long holiday weekend approaching, I thought it would be prudent to have a health-care provider weigh in on a recent and nagging back injury. As a walk-in I received prompt and professional care.

The care I received today from the Newtown staff was amazing. I felt so welcomed from when I I walked In Jessica is such a breath of fresh air she is so sweet and kind thank you . The wait wasn’t long at as since I pre made my apt online it was perfect . My daughter came with me and my Ma Kristi I believe her name was she was so sweet she made he laugh and smile even though it was me getting checked out . She was. Very polite and comforting while I was in pain. And she had these crazy eye contacts too . But truly the dr Steve was so sweet and kind he talked me threw all the worries I had and reassured me that I was going to be ok he made me feel like he truly cared and didn’t just rush me out . this is truly one amazing team and I definitely recommend them and I will bring trusting them with my family .

All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My son can be anxious on doctor visits, especially when tests need to be done. Both the medical assistant and doctor were incredibly patient, explained what to expect, and even engaged with him on a fun level.

This was easily the best urgent care visit I’ve had. The staff was incredibly kind of friendly, got me in quickly, and the PA was a gem. I wish he could be my regular doctor because he was excellent. I felt very well taken care of and would 100% recommend if you need an urgent care visit.

Had a poor experience and will definitely not see this Dr if indeed he was a doctor. Had a simple cut on my hand and he made a federal case out of it. Plus he sent a high pressure cleanser into an open wound that sent me off the ceiling. No heads up on what I would experience. I’m tired of being taken advantage of by idiots just looking to optimize charges.

Do not go here without having an appointment! Supposed to be a walk-in but took an hour and 20 minutes for me to be seen because of appointments. The receptionist wasn’t very friendly and didn’t check with peers to see how long it would actually take for me to be seen. I asked her if I should schedule an appointment and was told it wouldn’t be more than a 30 minute wait without appointment. Everything other than the receptionist and wait time were great!

Always a great experience going here. Making an appointment is super easy online, as well as the check in process. The staff is always pleasant and professional. On this particular visit, Lauren made me feel very at ease and welcomed. And it was a plus getting to see Dr. Sedhene again…she’s awesome!

I got lucky today at Newtown urgent care as there was an actual MD on staff. She was fabulous! I’m petrified of throat cultures and she actually did one on herself to demonstrate and then did the quickest one I’ve ever had. The medical team is always so upbeat and friendly. I’ve also had positive experiences with the male PA’s. Unfortunately, there was one female P.A. who was dismissive and unprofessional but overall, 99% of people who work there are fantastic!!

The online appointment and check in processes were easy to navigate. The person doing in-person check in when I got to the clinic was friendly, efficient, and very attentive to my medical needs. The care providers offered excellent care, and addressed all of my questions. I entered the clinic with serious concerns about my health, and left with a treatment plan I was confident would lead me to a full recovery.

Easy to make appt. Provider was knowledgeable, thorough, and looked up what had worked for me in the past. I appreciated her very much.

Apparently it only takes a few people to ruin Healthcare for everyone else. As a paramedic for almost 15 years Ill keep that in mind when I go and treat my next patient. Dont get sick in our Healthcare system, thats the best advise I got. Otherwise the staff was friendly.

I just love the staff. They’ve got one of the best processes for making an appointment and getting in then any other place I’ve been. Like any urgent care, you just simply have to be a patient patient.

We are all lucky to have Physicians one Urgent Care. Ive been here before a few years ago. I was pleased that today they offered me an appointment so the wait was minimal as they may well be busy. Reception was smooth and courteous. All the little tests and measurements were done very nicely. And Dr Roberts was wonderful. Very professional, knew her stuff and made me feel much better just by recognizing some bronchitis and putting me at ease.Im grateful for the experience.

I am always impressed with the care at PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Newtown. The nurse who did my intake and flu/covid/RSV testing went above and beyond to be sure I was comfortable and taken care of. The doctor was also wonderful, and made sure to write me a note for my employer. Thank you for making my visit as smooth and speedy as possible so I could get home to rest!!

I’ve been here many times but this last visit was exceptional as I was having an allergic reaction & needed to be seen immediately. It was brought it right away & unfortunately had to take my 3 year old twins with me. The nurses were exceptional, gave the kids snacks and water & the medical staff addressed my concerns while making me feel safe & cared for. I am always so grateful for having such a great walk in nearby.

The majority of the staff were polite and professional, and check in was quick and easy. Unfortunately, I had two negative experiences with one of the medical assistants. I had checked in with the kiosk and put that I was there for a dog bite. A few minutes later, I heard from the front desk Did you see what the walk in is? A dog bite. There was a pause, and then she said Dogs dont bite. Not if you know how to handle them. This was extremely unprofessional to say in hearing range of your patients. There is no way to know the circumstances of your patients issue, and regardless you should not be making any kind of comment about them.She ended up being the one to assist in treating me, and the PA came in briefly, inspected my wound, and then left for the MA to do the wound care. Unfortunately, even after hearing the PA discuss how these wounds need to be irrigated with water pressure for several minutes, she proceeded to use a single standard-sized syringe on each of the cuts (so

Poor customer service. Had an appointment booked before hand for a routine physical. They didn’t have the forms for it. I just said I need a physical to hand in to a new employer. They had no record of that kind of request. They needed a form and still wouldn’t take me without out it. Even though I booked it ahead of schedule. I also was told they don’t take cash or check. Had to go to docs urgent care in Monroe. They took me no problem. Be careful here at Newtown. They just go by the book. Janine

I cut my thumb with a very sharp kitchen knife. Urgent Care in Newtown was able to get me in quickly and sewed me up with 6 stitches. First time at UrgentCare. So much better than ER. Definitely will go back. Great staff! Thank you!

When I found myself with a spreading infection in my hand causing severe pain late at night, I knew I needed immediate attention, but I wanted to avoid the long waits and impersonal atmosphere of the emergency room. After researching nearby ER hospital options, I decided to wait until morning and head to PhysicianOne Urgent Care based on a previous positive experience. Hospital ERs had such a negative reviews...Despite there being a few people ahead of me, the entire process was remarkably efficient. From registration to waiting to meeting with the doctor, I was in and out of the urgent care in just 45 minutes. This promptness was a breath of fresh air compared to the hours Ive spent waiting in overcrowded emergency rooms in the past.What impressed me the most was the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff. The receptionists were friendly and efficient, quickly getting me checked in and providing clear instructions. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. Did not have wait long. The PA was very good and explained everything.

The medical care was good. Logging in on the kiosk with a link to my phone for further detail by me was very difficult to do as I was very sick. I think you should have an option when you walk in the door for the front desk person to log you. The bathroom had a bunch of instructions on how to sanitize your hands properly but meanwhile they dont have a toilet paper holder so everybodys hands go on a loose roll of toilet paper Which is far from sanitary.

Had an appointment was 5 minutes late. Shouldnt matter as half the time Doctors make us wait much longer. Were the only ones in there yet it takes an hour before anyone sees us. Not sure what the point of an appointment is. The diagnosis was a best guess by the Doctor.Didnt covid test or strep test or anything. But the rest of the stuff was nice enough.

A good thing to have in your town. Even with an appointment you are probably going to have to wait... A while; however, when your name is called you will get the time and attention you need. Knowledgeable and professional staff who also manage to stay pleasant through a 10 hr shift. I do not look to go to PhysicianOne, but when I need them, I am happy they are there.

Came in with laceration on pinky and out with 3 stitches in 30 minutes. Everyone was polite and attentive.

The Pa was extremely nice and respectful. She gave me a clear explanation and home remedies to do at home on top of antibiotics which I thought was great too to help me feel better! The secretary’s were very friendly and understanding. They made me feel at ease. This particular urgent care is my go to all the time!

Staff friendly and professional. Long wait time which is unusual, they are normally pretty on the ball. Staff worked to clear backlog by doing some required testing before consultation which helped.

Thankful for the folks at this urgent care. They always see me relatively quickly, listen to my concerns, and are honest about diagnostics/treatment. Had to visit recently on Thanksgiving and appreciate having the option for urgent care rather than ER on holidays!

Made appointment on line for 1100. Was taken to exam room about 1050. Saw PA at 1100 on the dot. Very smooth and professional operation. They emailed prescription to CVS and it was ready when I arrived. Nurse and PA both terrific.

Professional staff, wait times were typical for urgent care . My needs were not urgent . I was roomed quickly and had to wait there a while. I understand something urgent could have come through the door and this is why. When the doctor did get to me they took their time, listened to my problem, and had a great bedside manner. 100% would recommend and return.

Had 3:15 appointment and was in exam room within 15 minutes of this time. Staff friendly. Dr/PA performed a thorough exam of my foot and explained her thinking throughout. Prescribed medication. Recommend!

Yesterday was the second time I visited Physician One. It is by far the best urgent care I have been to. It is run very professionally, and the staff is very caring. Appointments are easily made as well.

The last two times I was forgotten in the exam room. Last time I waited 40 minutes after the telehealth provider told me she would send a live person in. No one was informed that I was still there waiting. The staff was super apologetic about it. But it made for a long evening.

I had an awesome experience at this facility. All the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The provider was very caring and gave me his undivided attention. Great experience overall!

Was not thrilled, told whoever saw me I had a sharp stabbing pain in ear for three or more days and left side throat beginning to hurt. She looked in ear and throat and said I was fine, didn’t see any evidence or problem and pain was probably just nerve. Still having stabbing pain, throat worse and feel terrible. Better off not going and wasting 1 hour in waiting room for nothing.

Staff was so nice and I was in and out within a half hour.

As always I was well taken care of by an attentive team of PAs and Doctor. This is my go-to.

Severe reaction too proscribed ear drops for ear infection. What a horrifying experience. Almost was rushed too the hospital. Now my ear is 10 times worse. Will never be returning. Was seeking help and it turned out for the worst. I went through 3 MDs in the last month here and now the problem is so much worse. Ill only be going too specialized doctors from now on.Just awful

My visit was with a PA. That generally does not bother me but when a patient tells you they have a speaking engagement and have to travel to another country in two days, they need relief from what they know is sinusitis. The post nasal drip and sinus pain was unbearable. (30+years of experience w/chronic sinusitis) The PA should listen to the patients description of discomfort and patients experience. Not your short years as PA. Wasted my valuable time after the PA refused to prescribe antibiotics. He was rude and uncaring. Of course, my condition worsened. This is my 2nd time with a PA at this location. Extremely disappointed in the LACK of care.

The Dr was wonderful! The lady at the front desk was very kind and welcoming! Those two made it a good experience….. only those two!

Dr. Roberts was attentive, thoughtful and knowledgeable. She also followed up with a phone call at the end of the day. I appreciated her commitment to quality, compassionate healthcare.

I was seen yesterday, and I have no complaints. I made the appointment online and filled out the paperwork before the appointment online. I waited about five minutes before I was called into the examination room. There is a monitor that tells you the wait time as well as a link on your phone that updates you on the wait time. The staff was very efficient and professional.

Took my daughter in on a Thursday afternoon and was in and out in less than an hour. Wasn’t too busy when we got there. Registration was easy (done on your phone). The staff was very kind and accommodating. Place looks very clean and well kept. Dr and nurse we saw was very good with my toddler and they seemed very knowledgeable. Didn’t feel rushed and Dr answered all of our questions without hesitation. Would definitely come back if needed!

The front receptionist has a great personality and welcome me with a nice smile and wish me the best. The Dr. was great explain what I had. The nurses they are wonderful. They’re always there for me. Thank you 😊

I went to PhysicianOne Urgent Care with a fever. After signing in, I was promptly taken into a room and seen by 3 different people. The last one was a P.A. After waiting only about 15 min, I was told by the P.A. that I tested positive for Covid and they would call my pharmacy and order Rx Paxlovid. Good visit and well run walk in med. ctr.

Making an appointment online was fast and easy. Rescheduling when I had a last minute conflict was also simple and quick. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and there was barely any wait time. The doctor was great. He really listened and was considerate and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel rushed and he answered all of my questions. Overall, I had a very good experience and highly recommend this care facility. Thank you!

Thank you so much to the amazing staff at Physician One Urgent Care. My 8 month old had a fall and they took excellent care of him. I was sent home very happy and reassured that he would be OK.

Ill be honest... I was very frustrated as I went in early... Was told there was a wait so they rebooked me for 1145... No issue there... Came back at 1145 and waited for 40 minutes without being seen... Had to reschedule again because I had a meeting... Came back at 445 for my appointment and had to wait yet again... With that being said once my name was called... It made that frustration go away as the stuff was very caring and helpful... Specifically the doctor Pamela... She was awesome for a bunch of different reasons... My experience with her was worth all the other frustrations even to the point where if I ever get injured (or sick) again... Ill look forward to going and seeing her again. Thanks for taking good care of me and making me smile.

Physician one urgent care of Newtown is as good as the one in Southbury and I am glad to say I would go there again. Generally I do not see PA’s, but physician one seems to have a high caliber of PA’s. He was courteous, actually seemed like he knew what he was doing, everyone I came into contact with there was really very nice. Thank you and I truly appreciated being able to get my issue taken care of. We need more places that prioritize patient care, profit is nice but do no harm should always be a priority.

I checked in and waited for 1 hour. they past 3 people over me. They said they had reservations, which I dont believe the 3 of them did because when I got there, a mom with her child happened to her too. Suggest to make reservations just like youre going to your regular dr.

I only gave four stars because of the weight even though I had an appointment. The healthcare staff was professional, friendly, and took time to discuss my issue. I would go back.

Took for my son because he had pink eye. The nurses were all nice and great with my son who is a very shy kid, Dr. Roberts was phenomenal, nice, even made my son laugh during the exam to ease his mind. 5/5 stars.

I did not have to wait a long time.. they were very professional and caring for my needs being that I may have covid . With having all the symptoms they were very cautious and careful. Gave me great care!!! I always go there when I need to as well as my family. (March 2021)My most recent visit: It was a very quick visit, I only waited about 3 minutes to go into the exam room, and the doctor came in within 5 minutes of my test. Staff is very friendly and personable, facility is very clean and inviting. My experience was beyond my expectations. Thank you! All of the support staff was very friendly and attentive to my medical issue. The felt that the doctor who helped me was very nice to me and also professionally concerned about my medical issue and treared me with a lot of respect. They all were very good at that. This is the slight issue that I had. I understand that doctors cant spend much time with each patient. But that the doctor was called away to treat someone else after only about five of taking care of me. The medical staff seems to be rushed from not having enough doctors working there. I feel that the doctor should have spent a few more minutes trearing me. Thats why I gave the review only four stars

The staff was super nice and very helpful. The three stars are because I had a 5:30 pm appt and wasn’t seen until 6:30 pm with no explanation. I would have been fine if someone had said “ there were emergencies, etc” but nothing. My wait was only acknowledged flippantly at the end when a nurse said” I know you waited quite a while”, but still no apology or explanation. Otherwise, my visit was fine.

The entire staff is wonderful!!! they were fast and efficient, & i’ve never been to an urgent care that had a staff that took the time to talk to you. most urgent cares i’ve been to feel like they just want to get the visits over and they’re not personable. but that couldn’t be any further from the truth at this one! everyone was kind, compassionate, & caring, & i could not recommend them more!!!

Less than 1 star. This is the 3rd visit and they seem to get less and less polite and helpful at the front desk each time. It’s a “walk-in urgent care” and my daughter fell last night and we needed an X-ray. So we walked in and they told us they couldn’t see us for 2 days because all the slots were full. This is nothing more than an appointment only facility then. If you can’t fit a couple urgent matters in each day, what good are you as an urgent care? Going for a rapid Covid test isn’t urgent to the lady in the waiting room who was complaining she didn’t have time for this…..I’m not going back here. I’ll drive 20 mins further in any direction to avoid this front desk person who’s been rude to me, my wife and my sister in law at different times. When I’m having a bad day my clients have no idea because I don’t share my mood with people around me. Some advice, put the people with the sour attitudes in the back….Update: we found a walk-in about 20 mins away that has X-ray available but no tech in today. So they called the location I mentioned above and now we’re back here for an X-ray. I’m less than pleased with how the events have unfolded. Probably have a bill from both places now too…..?

Being newly moved into the Newtown, CT area, this was my 1st visit to the Newtown PhysicianOne Urgent Care. I had no appointment but my wait was only about 20 minutes was suffering from a bad cold & cough for about a week. I was extremely pleased with the care I received from Dr Roberts and her nurse. They spent a decent amount of time with me, asked excellent questions and the doctor took the time to explain her views and what action she recommended. All in all, I was very pleased with my visit there, I started feeling better in a day or so and ,if needed, I will use Urgent Care in Newtown again.

I dont expect folks working at urgent care centers to be overflowing with good cheer. Its not an easy job. These people were so outgoing and accommodating that I half expected to find a hidden camera somewhere. The woman in reception was singing...quite well as a matter of fact. The student nurse who took my vitals was pleasant and professional. The PA was super smart and positive. He was also the only person seeing patients on a Sunday and the place was packed. I was his last patient, so his amiable disposition was all the more impressive. Keep up the good work.

I got there Sunday morning when the office opened. I was the second person in line. I filled out the forms online and was called into the treatment room shortly there after. The care providers were very professional and efficient. The care was excellent. This is my go to place for basic medical care that doesn’t require making an appointment

In early July I came down with symptoms I was sure were strep throat and PhysicianOne Urgent Care were the only local office that would do a swab. Considering we are all struggling with the current health crisis this was understandable, but given the crisis if you get sick you still need a place to receive care and it is scary to go anywhere. I have to say the kindness, cleanliness and efficiency with which I was treated at PhysicianOne in Newtown, CT was reassuring and and comforting. The entire staff was efficient, had very good protocols in place, and were prompt, pleasant and compassionate. They tested me for covid as well as strep and I felt safe and well cared for. I highly recommend this facility and its employees, doctors, nurses, the front desk should all be commended for the excellent job they are doing. It is a comfort to know that in a time when so much is uncertain that you will be treated well and taken care of when you need it the most. I had experienced a fall and had used Urgent Care Newtown before. Wait time was minimal. Also was seen very quickly. Everyone from the intake person, to the doctor and X-ray tech were caring and compassionate. I highly recommend and would use again.

The Doctor was very thorough, kind and didnt leave you waiting long once you were in the examining room. The nurse and receptionist were also very kind and considerate. Making the appointment online was not hard but I wasnt expecting the wait once I arrived. I thought the appointments would be spaced to allow for that. Hence, the 4 stars. But the care once in was very good.

Great service. Thoughtful care givers. Ive gone to this facility a number of times and they have always had outstanding service. Highly recommended.Following up with another visit and more outstanding, caring and kind service. From the minute you step into the facility to exiting with reassurance and concern that you are well enough to leave. If you have a choice between this place and the emergency room, go with Physician One.

Went in without an appointment for a severe allergic reaction to poison ivy. Waited about 40 minutes on a Sunday afternoon . Was seen and out in about 10 minutes. Everyone was nice. I expected to wait and that was fine. Everyone had a mask and we’re COVID conscience.

This the 3rd time being here whether it is my wife myself or my son. We have made appointments only to wait over 45 minutes every time. Its completely understandable if its just a walk in,, but when an appointment is made it is completely unacceptable. The one saving grace is the staff when you do finally get to be seen they are very friendly and professional. There are many other walk ins in the area and unless things change I would not recommend this one.

Physicians One in Newtown was great. My husband and I had separate appointments but they took us together. The wait in the car seemed like forever but it’s understandable considering the current situation. Once we got inside Everyone was so nice and very professional. We felt safe there. All of our questions were answered. Best staff ever!!! Especially Sharon and Stephanie. They are taking every precaution to keep everyone safe.

Came down with a fever and cold, I would have waited it out but with a funeral this weekend in Ohio, wanted to be sure that’s all it was. They took a battery of tests to be sure of the diagnosis and it was only viral. Very pleased with the experience.

Not a bad place. I went in for a work related injury (3rd one I’ve gone to them for now) after the paramedics that were called told me it wasn’t necessary to be transported to the ER and the urgent care would be faster. I split opened my back ankle and required 6 stitches to the laceration. The DR was super friendly and nice and did a great job suturing. However I was not provided crutches which I found odd as it’s right where my foot bends and I’ve been unable to walk since last night (happened yesterday 7/24) without intense pain to the site. I had to borrow some from a friend. My foot is extremely swollen and painful as to be expected I just find it very weird I wasn’t provided with crutches for a foot injury.

I have been to several urgent care facilities locally and there is a night and day difference in the quality of care. PhysicianOne Newtown is my only pick from here forth...all staff was incredible and it didnt feel like I was getting second rate care like I had with other organizations. I must give a special thank you to the woman at the front desk. Her customer service went beyond what one would reasonably expect.

I was very happy with my experience. Due to COVID, to ensure safety, you check in, fill out your paperwork, and wait in your car. They text you when to come in. There were 10 people in the cue before me. I wasn’t feeling great and when I looked to schedule an appointment it would be an hour and 50 minute wait. I called the office manager and asked if I could go home and come back for a 2:50 appointment. She said I was next up and I was called in within 5 minutes. No one was in the waiting area and I was immediately taken to an exam room. My vital signs were taken and the doctor came to see me in about 5 minutes. She was very nice and competent. I figured that I had a blocked tear duct but it ended up being pink eye. She sent a script to my pharmacy but the pharmacy was closed(it was Sunday). That’s why they only got 4 stars because they should know which pharmacies are open or not. I did have some left over antibiotic ointment that was not expired, so I called back. They said I could use that for Sunday but to pick up the new one on Monday. The facility was extremely clean and they used all the recommended safety precautions. I would go back there again and recommend it to others. It was a very good experience!

Everyone is always so friendly and helpful doctors are outstanding Dr. Robinson a few years ago had to repair my sons knee from chainsaw accident u can barely see a scar they are all amazing doctors and I recommend to everyone I know thank u

Although the wait time to see the PA was a little long for the lack of other patients, the PA ,Jessie was extremely nice and competent. She was able to inform me about my condition(the beginning of a sty). She provided a good treatment plan and made sure that I knew what to do. This facility is very clean and the staff is always welcoming. They use good hygienic practices and explain how they will examine you. They would get 5 stars, but the wait time was excessive. I saw two people leave and one person go in to be treated during the time that I was there. I was not rushed through my visit and felt the staff spent adaquate time with me. I will continue to utilize this Urgent Care if future problems arise. Thank You!

My son sprained his wrist and we went with no appointment, waited about 45 minutes. Paperwork was filled out online via a link texted to my phone. Once we were called in the nurses/doctor/x-ray were really fast. We received great service.

I went to this urgent care yesterday stating I had extreme rib pain that I have experienced before. I had previously fractured a rib and was familiar with the pain. I went to this particular urgent care for the X-ray capabilities of the office… I wanted a thorough exam and X-ray of my ribs. Instead the X-ray tech and PA told me “it’s really hard to break a rib so you probably didn’t do that, go home and take some ibuprofen…” The PA barely even touched me let alone a thorough exam…I knew something was not right so I took myself to the ER… turns out I have fractured ribs! This is the laziest, most dismissive, and the absolute opposite of quality patient care. I have never been treated so poorly by a company that is supposed to do their best to give you the care you deserve. The X-ray tech and PA seemed quite annoyed that I had even stopped in… thank goodness I took my business elsewhere, otherwise I’d still be in the dark about what is going on with my body.

My mother-in-law fell and hit her head and landed on her wrist. She has Parkinson’s disease and osteoporosis. They took her right in! Examined her gently and thoroughly. They were able to take an X-ray and diagnose the brake in her wrist. They gently put a hard cast/ splint to mobilize it but allow her to shower. We were so pleased with her care!

First, since I was going in for a covid19 test, a week before Thanksgiving, I never thought I’d even get an appointment-but I did! Then when I arrived, I thought I’d wait a long time to be seen, and actually the 15 minutes was well worth the wait! My nurse Sharon was pleasant and professional and when I saw Dr. Warner, he too acted like I was the first patient he’d seen all day, and it was already 2:45! They explained the procedure and when I’d get the results! I will definitely go back for anything else I may need!I highly recommend!

While the medical staff was very nice and explained things clearly I had to wait two hours as it appeared that the location was taking care of covid testing appointments first. That took the urgent out of urgent care and at 76 urgent is important to me. Ive been to this facility before and did not have this problem. They are certainly competent.

I received the BEST, most compassionate care 2 weeks ago when I came in for heart concerns I was having. Staff couldn’t have been kinder, more insightful and careful. So grateful

Care givers and employees are excellent. Check in for walk in visits is not good. Took 30 minutes with no one ahead of me. Sitting in my car. With symptoms. Snowing the whole time. The worst part was they already had all of the info on file. I had to re enter everything! Address for insurance claims. Take s photo of my card. In a dark car. On a small phone. You get the point. Use what you have on file. Then I had to show my card again when I got in there. Also they collect up front if you have a deductible which I don’t approve of. The process is submit to insurance. They pay what they owe. Then you bill the member for whatever is left. Deductible is not a copay and does not have to be paid at the time of visit. I am a 26 year veteran employee of an insurance company. I may choose to go somewhere else but the people are great.

I was able to get my young son in on a Sunday before we left for a trip and get tested and meds prescribed so that he could get well quickly.

The front desk staff was very pleasant and professional and the PA (Ron) was was excellent. He was very thorough. I was pleasantly surprised because I did not have to wait an excessive amount of time in the waiting area unlike my previous visit. I wasl the only person in the waiting area and there was only one other person in the exam room. I waited close to 1 hour. I would definitely recommend physician one.

Great facility! I was here on Tuesday for a sore throat, the staff was very professional, the clinic was clean and the wait time was fair. The MA Shannon was very sweet and compassionate. She kept my daughter busy with a conversation, even offered her a lollipop on the way out. The PA, Petagay had plenty of knowledge and listened to my concerns. Her personality was bubbly. I was swabbed for strep and it came back positive within ten minutes. I had no issues with the medication or script, it was called over immediately. I would definitely return, it was an overall positive experience. I feel better already. Thank you!

Great staff, knowledgable & little wait time

I took my son to check his vitals, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond, they also took my sons blood to look for any other issues other than just doing his vitals. I wish it was a regular doctors office, They did more than his paediatrician would have done. The PA took her time to ask questions, exam and went over everything. Everyone was professional and caring. Yes, I had to wait a long time, but under the amount of time they had estimated. If you do the paperwork online (they text it to you), you can use the app to estimate time until it’s your turn. I ran an errand and came back. My PA was outstanding.

I walk in and the lady greeted me with “Good Afternoon, how can I help you”. She was nice and friendly. I believe her name was Clarissa. After filling out the paper work for the insurance company, I was then called by name from a nurse who would ask questions and take my vitals. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She also informed me that wearing gloves would only spread germs. It was better to wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. I appreciated the info. Then a Physician Assistant came to check on me and spoke with me for a few minutes. I was worried at first but he put me at ease and made me feel like a valued patient. Steve was great! Overall, I had a positive experience going for the DMV physical. I will very likely return again. And I will recommend this POUC Newtown location to co-workers. Thank you and keep up the good work serving our community.

Had an appointment and still waited a full hour past the time to be seen. When I finally was seen the doctor took all of 2 minutes with me to confirm my suspected ailment and prescribe medication.

VERY DISAPOINTED 12/5/2022!!! Brought my ill wife in this morning as a walk in at 8:00AM, the waiting room was empty. I was informed that others with appointments would come first and that there will be a significant wait...bookings are every 15 minutes...come back at 1:00. At 8:15 still the waiting room was empty, so I shared that my wife was suffering, I was told that if she was to take her to the emergency room Lets break that suggestion down...Drive my suffering wife from Newtown to Danbury Hospital during Monday morning rush hour traffic, park the car then wait again?I feel that the above onerous experience was all due to the lack of concern i.e. poor attitude by the receptionist! However when I tried to voice my concern of how we were being treated...she tried to talk over me as how dare I speak up! So I bit my tongue not to lower myself to her level!My wife did manage to see someone...When leaving stupid me somewhat expected to receive something that would resembled an apology...Never happened!

It was fine, except they never phoned in the medication the doctor said was going to be phone in for me. My pharmacy had nothing for me from my visit yesterday. Otherwise, I waited for a bit in the waiting room, and felt rushed along in the actual visit. I’m feeling really horrible and I don’t know why.Maybe they just have not had a chance to put my prescription in yet. It’s only been 24 hours.

Once registered and taken in, the care was excellent. Everyone was very caring. Care for the patient was a first priority. Test results were explained in detail and suggestions for the next steps explained. For me, it meant an ambulance ride to the hospital.Unfortunately, 3 days later still don’t have results of Covid test.

Easy to get an appointment and be seen quickly

This office was a great experience. The staff and Doctor was friendly, and caring. They told me they would call me with results of lab work and called back promptly. Unlike a lot of other doctor offices that I have been to. I usually have to call them back. I have been to many walk ins and I was surprised that the wait time was quick. I sat down filled out the form for new patient and I was called in. A great place to go to if you need medical assists.

Asked twice to be emailed my COVID-19 test results. Had to drive back the next day and get a paper report. Otherwise, service was fine.07 July 21Visited with sinus pain, runny nose, watery eyes and congestion. I was seen immediately and a treatment prescribed. 24 hours later Im back to life. Great care. Great service.

Overall positive experience.Although it took a full hour to see the PA she took the time to prescribe the right treatment for me. The virtual video Dr. from my insurance company was useless. Would be 5 stars but they never called in one of the prescriptions I wanted. No feedback about it either…

This place is wonderful. I have been forced to use on a few occasions and every time has been great experience. The staff is awesome and Dr. Robert’s is a great Doctor.

The experience was fine.... Except it seemed that the front desk woman was on a personal call while we were waiting to be checked in. I was standing at the window for 3-5 minutes before I was even acknowledged. Then she proceeded to have somewhat of an attitude. The Medical assistant, and PA was awesome.

First time here. Service was quick and friendly. The doctor was efficient and knowledgeable. I will return again if I need it.

One of the best urgent cares I’ve ever been to! The staff is so friendly and understanding. They got me in right away and had me looked at by a doctor. They also gave me both options to get the covid PCR and rapid test! When my rapid came back negative, they went the extra mile to check for the flu as well. They are very thorough and professional. I will never go to any other urgent care but this one!!

Waited and was told they were waiting on someone… assuming the Doctor. I left after 25 minutes. Knocked on the door to ask if someone was on their way but they never answered the door. People were inside. Simply coming to the door and explaining how long we would have to wait would have been prudent. I felt bad for the people there with children.
