I absolutely love it here! Dr. Linda and Danielle was so sweet and caring. Dr. Linda addressed all my concerns. Ive been to this location over 3 times and with my 5 year old son nothing but quality care here. Blessed to have found them.
A day before my birthday I came in for some quick help with my seasonal allergies and acid reflux. So I could celebrate my bday in peace and feel better before I get to see my CRNP.My symptoms were:chest tightness due to the nasal congestion, bloating, acidic taste in my mouth and knot in my throat. The person who treated me was made aware that I have a history of reflux, currently taking Nexium for it and Zyrtec for my allergies. My symptoms improved. Also that in March I had a CT scan of my throat that was good and 2 months ago I had an extensive blood work done including C reactive protein(all normal). The U.C. Dr told me I need to get a chest X-ray.Which they did. They had to do the X-ray twice, because the 1 time they failed to do it correctly. While I was waiting, I was treated to a conversation that every patient dreams to hear. Even through the closed door me and everyone in the hall could hear them talking to each other about my images that “it’s NOT NORMAL. Do you see that?” Etc.Hearing all that, I felt faint.I called my husband and he was on the speaker the whole time during my visit.Basically I was told that my right lung’s border didn’t look ok. They retook the X-ray and both times images show irregular border of my lung which the Dr said most likely is liquid in my lung.I am not a Dr, but even I know that it’s a very bad situation. People die from it within weeks. And the Dr explained that it could happen because of cancer. Eg lymphoma.Imagine hearing that in your early thirties a day before your bday? When a Dr tells you something like that, your whole world collapses. And I had no reason to doubt their words. Since they even redid the X-ray.Also the Dr suggested that it could be because my breast implant broke and leaked in my body. And I could have silicone in my LUNG.I am so glad my husband was on the phone and heard that nonsense too. When I tried to say that my implant is a gummy bear type that doesn’t leak, Dr hinted that probably my surgeon put in some cheap implant that potentially could leak.Which is a rich conclusion among others in this whole farce. The Dr added that she saw a documentary about this on Netflix. I kid you not.If we for a moment forget the absurdity of it all. It’s important to state that I had no symptoms to prove that theory. My vitals were great. I had no: coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, weight loss, night sweats, etc.I said that I work out 3 times a week and hike with my dog with no issues. I don’t smoke or drink, don’t take drugs and watch my health. When I tried to argue that my recent C reactive protein tests were normal and would’ve shown an active inflammation in my body due to cancer or a bad implant, Dr said no to that.On top of that.I had no fever, my breasts were neither sore nor hard to the touch. Were even sized and gave me no discomfort at all.Dr mentioned that my lymph nodes were enlarged (actually they were not).Which in her mind proves the possibility of CANCER.No need to mention -I was devastated when I left that place.I made an urgent appt with my CRNP and tried to stay calm.Even though it was hard. When I came into my CRNP’s, the assistant heard my story and started chuckling at what I was told at the UC.When the NP came in, she was shocked. She looked at the X-ray the UC provided and said that it looks like kindergartener did it. It had numerous addendums (6) and looked unprofessional. My NP didn’t see anything wrong with my lungs or the surrounding area based on that X-ray.She heard me out and concluded that there is no way I could have liquid in my lungs. That I didn’t show any symptoms of whatever they said. That It’s simply allergy and GERD. JUST LIKE I TOLD IN THE U.C.!NP said that for a piece of mind I should get a PROPER X-ray which I did. It came back like my CRNP thought - absolutely normal.Bottom line. This UC is a joke.If they can’t recognize the X-ray of a HEALTHY person, I don’t know what they are good for.I have more medical knowledge after watching few episodes of the ER tv show.Absolute disgrace.
The medical staff was kind, compassionate & took the time to listen. They thoroughly assessed me & came up with an appropriate course of action. I am so glad I decided to stop by instead of sitting in the ER for hours. I was in and out within an hour tops. I was able to leave feeling a bit less anxious. The Newtown office has an excellent team.
Dr. Dana Mincer is a brilliant doctor with stellar bedside manner. She listened to my symptoms...and she educated me with my options. She heard me and honored the path I chose. She handled me with the utmost of dignity… A rarity in todays healthcare arena. Thank you Dr. Mincer. She prescribed me an antibiotic which began to work immediately… I am feeling 70% better after the second dose. 🌸
Front staff and nurse were very nice. Doctor was extremely dismissive and rude. After explaining I was in because my son was s sick at home implied that the pediatrician was either wrong or I was lying. Very disappointing treatment.
At 7:30 pm on a weekday, I was provided with fast, great medical care that needed immediate attention. They sent my prescription to my drug store immediately. I was home with prescriptions in hand within 1 hour. Highly recommend!!
The wait times are ridiculous. There was absolutely NO ONE in the office and it took over an hour just to see the doctor. In addition, the staff was not friendly, did not follow safety protocols, nor were vital signs accurately taken. The care we received was less than acceptable and unethical. Save yourself the time and money and drive to a Patient First then go to AFC Urgent Care. Waste of money!
The facility is Awesome! I’ve been there three times in the past year and everyone is fast, friendly, kind and professional. The X-ray tech was considerate of my pain and I appreciate the way everything was handled. Thank you!!
This is the worst urgent care ever. I went there 10 months ago, did not use insurance and paid the full amount. They did some tests onsite, and called me a month later asking me to come and pay the for the labs.I came again and paid the full amount. For the last 8 months I have been getting contacted by labcorp saying the urgent care did not pay them, and every month Inhqve a 20 minutes phone call with labcorp where they apologize and say it is the clinic’s fault. I called the clinic, spent 30 minutes with AFC urgent care billing department, for them to call me next day after reviewing things telling me to speak to the clinic staff. The billing department even refused to contact their clinic directly or to send them or me an email explaining that.I short, they sent the labs to labcorp, made pay the clinic and did not pay labcorp. This is garbage
The office is clean and kind staff. I went in was treated and returned the next day with additional questions/concerns. The physician was understanding and addressed my concerns in a respectful kind manner.
This place is absolutely awful. Back when it was Tower Health, I had no problems. Then it turned to AFC, and it has only been negative experiences.First, my wife took our daughter there in early spring when she was sick. My wife made an appointment, but when she showed up to the appointment, she was turned away because they do not service children under 12 months... my daughter was 11.5 months old! Furthermore, they didnt tell us this requirement despite asking for my daughters birth day.I made an appointment for myself today, when I arrived they told me it was a 1.5hr wait. They claimed that the appointment is just for check-in. Why even take appointments? Just tell everyone you are walk-in only instead of wasting our time! This place is a complete joke. Unbelievably selfish and inconsiderate company all around. Dont waste your time.
Amanda was fantastic at taking my vitals since Im always nervous and have anxiety in the doctors office. she helped me calm down and keep my blood pressure low. That was fantastic. The attendee was great. she was very thorough and informative with her diagnoses of my upper respiratory issues as well as providing the treatment I needed.
Went there last Friday morning. Was there for a total of a hour and a half. Was told there was nothing wrong mewith me. Just relax over the weekend, which I did. Wasnt feeling any better today Monday. Called them and explained I was just there 3 days ago and Im worse. Would I be charged again for another co pay and visit. I told yes and said I didnt think that was fair and would not be returning. Drove 15 minutes further this afternoon to Oxford Valley and guess what? Was diagnosed with Bronchitis today. Needless to say very disappointed they took over for previous urgent care here in Newtown.
No noticeable change from Tower, which is a good thing. Easy location, friendly and helpful staff. Like that they brand as Family Care in addition to Urgent Care, and proved it by taking great care of my 3 yr old daughter, including a very quick strep test. Will continue to make this our UC of choice as AFC
Great experience from signing in to walking out. The staff was very friendly and helpful and Dr. Cornish was very patient and caring. Today was my first time here and I highly recommend this place.
I was very impressed with the care and concern I received. The doctor was excellent and informative. The nurse was pleasant and kind. I will certainly revisit should I need care again
Save your your time and your money. Go to a real doctor or an ER. I called ahead and asked if there was a doctor on site. They said there was. I got there 20 minutes later and got an attitude from a PA who said urgent care generally doesn’t have doctors. That is not the point. I specifically asked if there was a doctor for that reason. The care was subpar and I would definitely stay away.
First of all, you’ll have a very long wait if you go there they do not have an x-ray machine so if you need an x-ray, they cannot give you one They will send you to another urgent care or to the ER after a 3 hour wait So you wait to get seen then they give you the bad news we won’t give you an antibiotic unless you have a chest x-ray and we don’t do them here. If you go in with a bad cough, they won’t prescribe an antibiotic unless they can do a chest x-ray. They told a women she could get seen with a bad cut on her knee but the will need an xray to do stitches so they would have to go to anther place that does xrays Dont know what urgent cares are for but it doesn’t seem like it should be an urgent care if you cant go there and get medical help This urgent care should not even be in Business they tell everyone one to go else where i dont know what they can Actually treat there
Visited on Saturday July 5th for toe inquiry both the Dr Linda Bailey and Amy (x-ray tech) were extremely pleasant and helpful. This my first visit to the center and will recommend to anyone
Terrible place. They said they weren’t sure of the condition and a test was needed and to call back in a few days if I didn’t hear the results. After calling I was told “the test was never sent out and we don’t know why and we don’t know when the doctor will be working again to ask him.” I was given the “manager” Krishna’s number who was rude and unprofessional. This place does not care about you after they have collected their money. Avoid at all costs.
Last evening I took my wife to urgent care in newtown. She burned her hand and was in severe pain we got there around 8:00 Pm .The Nurse who came out when my Wife pleaded for attention because of the pain she was in . Started an argument asking all kinds of rude questions like how are you going to pay for the service and what is your email address .My wife has been there before everything is on file. Than she became addiment and started to raise her voice told us to be quiet or leave we were the only ones in the waiting room. I dont know her name but she was the size of an Eagles offensive lineman with dirty blonde hair an a very ignorant person. The Drs assistant that helped her was very thoughtful and helpful a 5 star rating to her.
Quick and easy xray of my foot. Showed healing metatarsal fracture. Not Long wait, worth the visit.
If you do not treat the condition I am coming in for, state that at registration when I explain the reason for my visit, do not take my copay and do not waste time when someone could be seen elsewhere for proper medical attention.
Loved Tower Health, but now AFC owns it and it’s AWFUL. Got there first with my sick 4 year old and still waited almost an hour to be called back. Front desk sends you a 15 minute long registration form to complete via text. You have to upload all of your health insurance info, drivers license, etc yourself. Extremely inconvenient when you’re sick or have a sick child with you. Waited another 15 minutes for the doctor until I went out to ask if someone knew we were in the room. PA finally comes in ( NO DOCTORS ON SITE) and gives me an attitude, I’m assuming because I asked that question. Terrible bedside manner. Used to be seen within 20 mins by respectable, professional, happy providers and staff when it was Tower Health. Never coming back here again. You’re better off going somewhere else.
The doctor I saw completely dismissed and ignored me, even suggesting that I should look into anxiety medication since that’s what he believed was making me “feel sick”. He ran zero tests and prescribed zero treatment. Two months later and I have finally seen a doctor who ran tests to determine my condition and treated me. It was validating to know that my symptoms were due to an illness (not anxiety), but infuriating to deal with the symptoms for two months longer than necessary because the staff at this urgent care failed to do their job. Just go to your doctor and save your money.
Horrible experience - do not waste time here especially with kids. Extremely slow moving with one doctor, very poor bedside manner. Three hour wait with my son only for the doctor to say “I recommend going to the pediatric ER as I’m not familiar with peds cases. His symptoms could be nothing at all or could be bad dehydration and labored breathing.” The pediatric ER took one look at him and said he’s not dehydrated and his breathing is fine. Any doctor should be able to give a better recommendation in the situation.
Went in with my son for chest pain and a painful cough. We saw Dr. Smayda, he knew instantly what the problem was and fixed it, his chest bones needed a little alinement. Incredible, the BEST! I left the office in shock of how amazing this doctor is!!!!!
AFC is awful and I don’t even know where to start. Took my 9year old daughter for a visit at 7:30pm the place was empty. I didn’t have her insurance card on me and asked to have them look it up, I was told we can’t. We go back to the room and wait for almost two hours to see the doctor. After two hours I came out of the room and asked what is taking so long to get results on a step throat and I was giving an attitude stating we were told that this would take some time. I want to make it clear that we were never told that. We were just brought to the room and left there for two hours. Doctor gave an attitude and didn’t even look my way when he walked in. Place is a waste of time, disrespectful and wasted my money that I didn’t have to, because we have insurance. I will make sure to never return and let friends and family know to not waste their time.
Clean facility. Staff courteous & efficient. Pleasantly pleased for an urgent care.
My experience was a positive one. The registration process and visit was efficient. The doctor was personable, and knowledgeable. He sat down and explained everything in detail. He did not rush and answered all my questions.
Entire staff is professional, courteous and always willing to help. Recommend them highly.
You should adjust the shower spray in the men’s locker room. It is very slow; not happy about this at all!!!
The doctors took a really long time to treat me. Then they took a long time to give me the results
Good Doc.Make sure your insurance is in order before you go.
Wish I could have given zero stars.2 1/2 hours sitting in the waiting room (4 people ahead of me). Then another 30 minuteswaiting for a doctor. Totally unacceptable.
100! To the Top.Best Care, On The Go , and Non stop Physicians & Staff on hand !
The doctor is good, but the waiting times are a complete disaster. We have visited 3 times, despite very few people, each time they make us wait for a minimum of 1.5 hours. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
The staff seem nice. The facility was also nice. I waited 3 hours and was told Id have to wait another 45 minutes (only because I asked). There were two people ahead of me and then two people came in after me who got called before me. I ended up leaving before I was called to see the doctor. I was in a lot of pain and just needed x-rays to make sure that my ankle wasnt broken. At the same time I had things to do and I couldnt wait another hour.
I am stunned to see such horrible healthcare professionals, I do not believe anyone at this facility went to a Med school ever.
Ive been here a couple times now, 1x for me and 1x my toddler. Both times we were seen quickly and felt the care we received was great for an urgent care facility. Id consider both times peak cold/flu season... we went in the am (shortly after they opened) and around 2p the second time. If you need urgent care, give them a shot. I was nervous based on some of the negative reviews on google but they didnt disappoint. I will keep them in mind for any future needs...
They were quick and very thorough. Really liked everyone I had contact with
Everyone was kind and professional and the doctor was excellent. He took the time to care for my son and explain everything very well. We were treated very well by all the staff and I appreciate that because, unfortunately, that is not the norm these days. It’s nice to see staff enjoying their work and doing an excellent job and treating everyone who walks in the door with kindness. Thank you for such a good experience during a stressful time!
My experience at Tower Health Urgent Care was flawless. The staff is caring and the care is exceptional. They are all to be commended for their exceptional commitment to patient care. Kudos in particular to PA-C Christine Savage!
Terrible, terrible, terrible… the way they treated a 5 year old was just awful. The management there is completely disconnected from reality. They told us to wait for almost 2 hours since there were 8 people ahead. We only saw 4 of them in the waiting area. I asked where the others were and was told that they were waiting in the car. I asked if ok to wait in the car as well. We were told yes so I took my little one who was running a fever back to the car. We returned less than 30 minutes back there hoping that we will be seen just to find out from another receptionist that we were placed to the back of the line. We waited and noticed that there were at least 3 people who came there after us who were let in before us…when I asked why, the receptionist who was constantly playing with her phone went to the back, and one of the nurses with darker hair was literally laughing while my daughter was running a higher fever. I asked to know her name and the name of a manager and I was told that they could not give me any such info.If there is an institution in the US who can hold these businesses accountable I would love to know whom to speak with.In the meantime, I searched for other urgent cares in the area and found others with higher ratings that will definitely use in the future.Never ever will return to these unprofessional folks who absolutely think it was funny and were laughing of us with my daughter sick and running a fever.Shame on them
I walked in to an almost-empty waiting room, I think there were 1 or 2 people there. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly person at the front desk and called back to go into a room right away. From there on I felt cared for and like I was in good hands. I text my husband from the room to tell him that I was getting the most thorough checkup I have ever had. The doctor and nurse listened to my every word without making me feel like I was wasting their time and made sure that all of my concerns were addressed, they didnt miss a beat! If you need quality care and cant get in to see your PCP for 5-7 days, I highly recommend Tower Health in NewTown, PA.
All the workers talk about patients and you can hear it in the waiting room. I heard them refer to a patient as a crackhead. I don’t even believe dr manigiaracina is an actual doctor. He talked about my medications with the door open and other patients in the facility. He also had no idea what how to test for the sickness I came in for. I asked a receptionist for his last name on the way out and she refused to give it to me and I heard her yell profanities on my way out.
Dr. Mangiaracina was extremely thorough & professional in his examination. He explained everything from how to use the medication, potential diagnoses & outcomes, what to watch for & report, to how to ensure my safety. The staff were very professional yet friendly, patient, & understanding. There was minimal wait time. I would highly recommend them to family & friends.
Excellent service! I highly recommend Dr. Wilson.
Worst urgent care ever with the most incompetent doctor…..Dr. Pinciotti. I’ve been here a time or two and been seen by Dr. Pinciotti on multiple occasions. One time I had a sinus infection and he had put me on 3 things (steroid pack, antibiotic, and Claritin) to clear said sinus infection, I started coughing up blood constantly for 2 days after completing the medication he prescribed me to take that week. I went in again because of my concern of the blood and he said “it was just my sinuses clearing the infection” and proceeded to prescribe me another steroid pack. I that night wound up being sent to the ER and having my stomach pumped from gastritis from all the medications I was prescribed that ruined my stomach.
This urgent care location was easy to find and the waiting area was clean and comfortable. The in take process was very long. First a long wait after we signed in then a long time to enter information from my father in law’s Medicare card and driver’s license. After this lengthy in take process we told it would a wait of about a half hour. After about 40 minutes the patient who signed in after us was called in and the about 15 minutes later we were called in.The medical staff were prompt courteous and helpful. That part of the visit was fine. When we left the in take person did apologize for the delay however it was still unacceptable. My father in law is 88 years old and was confused by the wait.
The staff were courteous, helpful, friendly and professional. I’ve been in a lot of medical facilities and this Urgent Care was impressive with everyone from the front and back desk receptionist, MA’s to the PA care!
Very good experience here. Front desk, nurse and PA were all very kind, competent and efficient. Received excellent care. Glad I’m familiar with them now. Highly recommend.
I have visited this center a few times over the past two years and have been very pleased with the service and level of care. The staff have been very professional and it has been great to be able to get immediate care/treatment without the hassles of trying to get an appointment with my PCP, especially since its been almost always the weekend when Ive needed immediate care. They are very efficient and professional and usually give a follow-up phone call to see how Im doing, which is a nice touch and something that I dont get from my PCP. Their diagnosis and treatment have been very beneficial for me.
This visit with Dr. Anthony Mangiaracina was a total failure for patient care on all dimensions. I would never recommend anyone going to see this doctor. In fact, I would wholeheartedly advise against it and this facility because the organization clearly does not care who they employ. 0/10The doctor my 81 year old Mother saw was truly awful. She has a case of severe shingles. The pain she had from the shingles was so unbearable for her the night before and that morning. Which was the reason for the visit to Tower Health Urgent Care in Newtown on the morning of 1/1/23. The front office staff and the MA who brought us back to the exam room were warm and friendly. When the doctor (an older gentleman) came in the room he asked why we were there, I told him that my Mom was in pain from the shingles. He looked at me and again asked “So why are you here?” Sighing loudly- like we were bothersome to him. This man clearly was not in the mood to see patients that morning. Maybe he should have not agreed to see patients on New Years Day. When I asked him if I could give her an OTC nerve pain med, he immediately cut me off and said “I don’t write for that” not letting me finish my question. My Mother is an 81 year old Korean woman, she does not speak English well and was in a lot of pain, hunched over and could only nod or shake her head. This doctor’s behavior was not all professional nor had an ounce of bed side manner/empathy. After talking for max 4 minutes he gave her a script for Valtrex and left. I am in the medical field, I know that will do nothing since I told him she has been having symptoms for over a week and more importantly, he knew that too. I feel that if I had brought my fiancé with us that day, we would have been treated much differently.Even if the doctor could not help w meds, compassion and bedside manner for patient’s illness matter. Patients go to doctors trusting in their guidance and professionalism in the time of not only feeling sick/pain/injury but in the time of feeling helpless.I am not interested in some generic automatic apology response from Tower Health. I think the best medicine for them is writing a negative review of this terrible experience and making sure family and friends and the public stay away from this doctor and facility. Also on a funny note, Tower Health requested me to submit a review via text message and so I did- with a 0 rating. The review would not go through because “review text is too long” even though I fall into the character parameters. Lol ok.
There are really not “appointments”. Signed in and filled out paperwork at 8:45 for a 9:45 ‘appointment’. Arrived at 9:30, waited until 10:15 and heard that it might still be another 2 hours. The people seemed nice, but the scheduling is a joke.
I was pleasantly surprised with my visit last evening to Premiere Ugent Care. The office staff were fast and professional. Despite being a first time visitor, there were not gobs of paperwork to fill out. Just the essentials. Once in an examining room I only waited 5 minutes. That’s much less time than I’m accustomed to. The doctor was thorough, informative and friendly. He was not rushed, and clearly seemed committed that I had all my questions answered. My prescription was sent directly to my pharmacist and ready when I got there to pick it up. For me, this was a best in class experience and I’m grateful to have Premiere in my area.
The overall experience was excellent. It was easy to make an appointment. I did not have to wait long when I got there. The staff was helpful and caring. I definitely recommend utilizing this urgent care center.
This was my first visit to Urgent Care. It was the positive reviews I saw that brought me there. Excellent care, timely care, and thorough evaluation. I need to return in 2 days to have my wound redressed. It was so much better than waiting hours in our local hospital waiting room. Besides, the employees were very friendly and reassuring.
You earned a ZERO RATING. I was recently a patient at AFC Urgent Care in Newtown PA. While I was waiting to see the doctor, a young woman entered the facility with a sick child and was turned away because they were insured through Medicaid. AFC should be ashamed to call themselves an Urgent Care facility. You’re a disgrace.
My daughter was brought in on Sunday May 14. Her foot was jumped on at Prom by someone in block heels the night before. She couldn’t put weight on her foot and was unable to move her toes. The doctor reviewed the X-ray and said that he did not see a fracture. He added that in order for there to be a break, a 20 pound weight would need to be dropped on her foot and that a break would have caused her to immediately sit down and that she would be unable to walk. She was diagnosed with a bruise and sent home with instructions to rest, ice, and elevate her foot.Three days later she still couldn’t put weight on her foot, the swelling increased and bruising got worse.I took her to Rothman on Wednesday May 17th. She had another series of X-rays and was diagnosed with a fracture of the third metatarsal. She was sent home with a post op shoe, notes for school, and follow up X-rays scheduled in 5 weeks.I understand things can get missed on an X-ray, but the fact that she was told that the incident could not possibly cause a break is what bothers me. A fracture is not a terribly serious issue, but I feel my daughter was written off as a teenager complaining about a sore foot and her diagnosis was based on this doctor’s opinion on what causes a break rather than the X-rays and her symptoms.
Urgent services was a lot better before this location was handed over to Tower Health. Staff was pleasant. Doctor made me feel very uncomfortable and not made being talked to as a person but more along the lines of a just another client and I’ll very see ya again. Wait time, way too long for just 2 people in the waiting room just about an hour, and then once being seen it was almost over 1.5 hours sitting in the examine room, between nurses and the doctor popping in and out. It’s a shame client service has gone down hill here so fast. Maybe Tower Health needs to look at its staffing a bit more in-depth.
My wait was minimal time. Two people ahead of me. The waiting room staff were friendly and courteous. My wait was only 5 minutes when placed in room for Doctor. The doctors assistant was very thorough. I was in and out of the center within 40 minutes. The Care Center was extremely clean. My experience was positive one.
Got there at 12:45pm and didn’t leave to close to 4:00. Waiting room 40 minutes, another 30-40 to be seen, then wait again for X-ray another 20-30 minutes, get X-ray and then wait another 30 minutes and then have a nurse come in and start asking me the same questions I answered when I first got in the room until I told her I already was seen. Nice staff but disorganized. Timing is off I waited longer then the times but it took a long time.
Excellent care. Had an hour wait but not surprised because it was Labor Day. The staff worked hard to keep those with Covid symptoms in their car. This experience was nicer than being in the emergency room. I would definitely use Tower Health again.
Tower in Newtown was excellent!!!! The waiting room was less than 20 minutes and they listened to what I wanted as an out come for removing an infected cyst.I walked in with horrible pain, and I left feeling relieved and educated on my situation with organized discharge instructions. I’m so glad I chose them:)So much easier than the hospital!!!!
Always accommodating, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Only reason for 4 stars is the being closed on Saturdays. They are open Sundays, but the weekends are when you really cant get into regular physician offices if you are in need.
Sat here for almost two hours and there were multiple people who left because it took them so long. Was sitting in mild pain for so long. the only urgent thing they do is get together and chat. rude
Waited 25 minutes to be registered, then the lady told me that will be 1 1/2 hr to 2 hrs of wait, told her that is ok but will go and buy some groceries in the meantime, she told me that if I go out of the door will lose my place !, went then to another place much better
Took my husband there for some gastric disturbance and a little tightness in his upper chest. Did a thorough exam including a cardiogram which was normal.. The PA did not stop there however due to his family history, he sent him to the ER for cardiac enzymes. Luckily for him, as he had had a mild heart attack which would not have been picked up otherwise. Great place.
Highly knowledgeable caring staff.I feel very comfortable here at AFC Urgent care.
Place is awful. My 16 month old had a runny nose and suspected ear infection. There was one other person in the office. I only asked that someone take two minutes out of their day to check her ears. We were sat in a closet type quarantine room as if my baby had the plague with the door shut almost an hour before someone finally came in. She took the baby temp and proceeded to tell me more people were in front of me and I’d have to continue to wait. When I told her it’s ridiculous and harsh to keep a baby locked up in a room that long I was told I was welcomed to leave. Trash bag. I said oh but if it was your kid locked up in here for that long it would be a different story right. It takes two minutes to look into a child’s ear with a otoscope. 2… and we sat there longer than an hour before I walked out. These people are barbaric and this place is a joke. Go elsewhere.
Our nurse practitioner Nikki (I believe it’s spelled?) was absolutely wonderful. She has incredible bedside manner and is a professional through and through. She is what makes urgent care a easy and effective experience. Thank you.
The follow-up is amazing! A few days after my visit I received a call to check how I was doing and to confirm I needed to change medication.
If you’re LGBT I would not recommend this place. Just look at the other reviews to get a full picture. There are more professional and comprehensive urgent care options that are even open 7 days a week.
If there would be a negative rating I would have done so. I injured my leg a few hours before my overseas flight. So I rushed to this clinic just to make sure my leg is not broken. When I limped in the girl at front desk didnt offer me any help, no wheel chair or anything, just handed out a piece of paper to fill out. Ok, I filled it out standing on one leg. When she told me to go to the sitting area and wait for my turn. Needless to say that I was the only patient in the facility at the moment. Then two girls strolled out and offered to follow them to the back office. At this point I have asked for wheelchair myself. The x-ray was done by the receptionist and she twisted my foot as there was no injury involved, not trying to make it comfortable for me at all. They did offer water and cookies as I told them that I havent eaten yet and feeling sick. And on top of this lame service they stole my $300 glasses. I forgot them in there as I was feeling pain and was worried about my upcoming flight. When I returned after vacation they told me that they have 30 patients a day and that the staff didnt take the glasses. Yeah right! The glasses could be left only on the counter or in one of the cabinets. Hard to miss when you are cleaning the cabinet for the next patient. Very disappointed.
I did not have a long wait, even though there were three people ahead of me. People in the waiting room, who didnt know each other, were chatting like old friends. Tower Health Newtown has a very nice atmosphere.Everyone who works here is very kind and patient. I wasnt feeling very well when I walked in but felt so much better when Dr. Pinciotti figured out what was wrong with me and began treating me right away. I highly recommend Tower Health Urgent Care.
Waited 3 hours. Doctor said there was nothing he could do for me. I told them my ankle was swollen and I did not injure it. Should have told me at the front desk that they did not do ultrasound or Xray. Doctor came in did not even touch my foot. His coat was tattered and I seriously felt he did not even know what he was doing. Wondering if they just wanted the business because I have good insurance. Will not go again.
The staff was very efficient and got me checked in to see the doctor in a few minutes. The doctor was professional, listened to my issues and had me on the way to a pharmacy in short order. The office was clean and the staff kind and helpful to someone who doesnt live in the area. I highly recommend this urgent care!
My family has been using Urgent Care in Newtown, PA for well over a year. The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly. As a working mother of 4 children, with busy schedules, I find the hours to be very convenient and accommodating, even on holidays. Most importantly they are considerate of your time. You can count on being in and out quickly. We have never had to wait more then than 20 minutes to be seen by a doctor. Urgent Care is always my first choice and I would recommend them to anyone. They are also sincere and always follow up within a day or two.
First time for me going there, although Ive taken my kids there several times before. They were courteous, professional, and quick. I was in and out within 20 minutes and the nurse practitioner even called the next day to see how I was doing! Definitely would consider using them again if I cant get in to see my primary.
We were visiting from another state for a softball tournament. Thought my daughter had strep. It was easy check in, didnt wait to long, results were quick and we were on our way.
A great facility, great doctors and staff! This was my second time there for my foot and the doctor remembered me. He was so helpful, kind, considerate and caring, not to mention, knowledgeable! The staff was great.I would definitely go back and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone needing immediate medical attention.Thank you all for your caring and considerate service!Kathy Decker
Waited 90 minutes to not be seen. Only 2 people were ahead of me. Both were taken back. I was told I was next once the last person is discharged. They left and another 20 minutes went by still not being seen. Thankfully my actual doctor called me back otherwise it probably would have been a 2 hour wait for a inhaler. All 3 employees just having conversations taking their time.
I had a very good recent experience with Tower Health Urgent Care. Elizabeth was very attentive and provided great recommendations for my ailment. Ive experienced equally good experiences in the past as well. Its good to have such a convenient facility in Newtown.
I wrenched my neck, and could not move and was in sever pain on July 4th. I decided to go to urgent care for the first time since my physicians office was closed. I went in less then five minutes in the waiting room. Dr Patel checked me out and gave me a prescription. In two days I was able to move my neck a bit more each day. He was able to help my pain managements and allow my muscles to relax. I’m so happy they were open.
Great experience. Fast, thorough, clean facility. PA Eric was so nice and the nurses were great. Had a fever of 103. Checked in at 6:00 pm was out by 7:30 after running a few tests and waiting to see if my fever went down. Was seen within 15 minutes. Insurance covered the visit with a copay. Highly recommend.
I had a great experience once I got past the receptionist! I walked in, and the older woman didnt even look up or acknowledge my presence. I work in an urgent care as a front office assistant, and we ALWAYS greet our sick patients with a friendly smile. A hello would have been appreciated. I asked if if she accepted my insurance since Im out of town, and she didnt answer the question. I was sick, so I decided to check once anyway. Once I went back, the nurse and doctor were WONDERFUL! Super friendly and make a quick diagnosis. Dr. Pinciotti was great. I will definitely recommend this place to my parents who live in the area!
Have been here many times for myself and my children. Always a great experience. The doctors are not rushed and spend the needed time with you.
Everyone was very professional and explained what they were doing and why. I went for a Covid test , which was negative. But they diagnosed me with the flu. Yes, I have had my flu shot for this season. I would not hesitate to use them again.
Life savior for the working mom! I love this place as I can quickly get help. Couple of times I left work because I was sick and instead of waiting hours at the emergency room I was able to get help within 30 minutes or less. Even had time to pick up my prescription and get back to work in time for the meeting.Even on weekends they are open and very fast and efficient. The advice I got from their doctors helped very much
Staff was kind and helpful. Highly recommend.
Dr Pinciotti was a true professional in treating and diagnosing my illness yesterday, he really listened and knew almost immediately how to treat one of the worst acute sinus infections of my life! I started to feel better walking out of the building. Would 100% recommend this facility, front desk were helpful and super pleasant. All the staff were compassionate and kind. Thank you 🙏🏼
FastThe doctor was great and explained everything clearly
Always a good experience at Tower Health, front desk is always friendly with the check in process, nurses are the best! Wait time was lengthy this past visit, but we are in a pandemic. A lot of patients expect to be seen the minute they walk in a Drs office or ER, not happening pandemic or not. Just prepare to wait no matter where you go, it’s not a drive-thru. Good job guys!
Very poor experience. Will not be coming back. Very ineffective. The front desk person put me on a different facility when checking me in and had 2 people who came after me go ahead of me. I had to wait an hour and a half. When I inquired what happened, he didnt even explain what went wrong. Completely wasted my time and when pressed for a reason, he told me that he put me on for a diff site. No apologies… when I asked for an apology, he was very rude and made a very sarcastic comment… will not be returning. Horrible customer service and does not know how to take responsibility for their actions / mistakes.
I got sick but didnt have a PCP, so I couldnt see a doctor within short time. I was suggested to go to Urgent Care and I was pleasantly surprised! I took only 1h to be seen and discharged, considering its a walk-in system. The staff is very friendly. Nice environment. Doctor Eric was very careful and professional, as well as his assistant. They followed up later to see how am I feeling. Highly recommend this place if you need urgent care!
Registration process at Newtown Tower Health is straightforward and office personal are courteous. Of specific importance is the attentive, informed care provided by Dr. J. Pinciotti, who assessed my medical situation, explained clearly what steps I need to take and did not hesitate to write a script for further hospital evaluation. The experience at this office had a calming influence on me and established that I would not hesitate to return to this office should an urgent care need arise. Thank you for being there, especially in these difficult times when so many services are understaffed.
My experience here was frustrating. I came from SC to visit PA family for a weekend, and had a reaction to a service received before my trip. I called the urgent care and asked if they did any appointments and was rudely told that it’s walk in only. When I walk in, I am told I should have quarantined (due to being out of state) and that they do virtual appointments. I am asked to give out my social security number verbally, in a room with several people. I am then told to sign several documents, without them being reviewed or offered to me. When I requested them, I got rude responses. The doctor was uniformed and unable to truly assist me - insisting that I call my doctor (already did) or go to an ER for a simple infection. Overall completely dissatisfied with service.
From front desk, the intake Nurse and Dr Pinciotti I was treated very professional and yet warmly. Dr examined me and diagnosed my condition. With medication prescribed I am feeling much better after one day. This is my 3rd visit to Urgent Care in 3 years and am always thankful to have this option.Great!!!!!
Tower Urgent care gets 5 stars from me because the people here are always great! They are always kind and very helpful. Wait times are usually short and the doctors and nurses are super!.
My first time visiting, may be picked a bad day to come in but only had 2 patients in front of me. Took 1 hr and 20 min just to get my paperwork processed at the front desk! PA and nurse was quick once i got to see them. Was out in 2 hours and change--so you figure for yourself if this is an urgent care or not.
Usually I’m apprehensive about urgent care centers, but not anymore. I came to tower health and they helped me quickly, treated me with respect. They listened to my symptoms and made me feel like I was in good hands. Dr. Soult and Nurse Shirley helped me feel so much better. They were kind, professional, reassuring, and on point. They diagnosed me in less than 10 minutes, had my prescription sent out, and I felt good as new within 24 hours. The next time I get sick (which I hope isn’t anytime soon) I’m definitely going here.
They took me quickly and got straight down the business. The staff was courteous and polite. I felt that they did a thorough job and I will go back to them for other emergency care when my primary care doctor isn’t able to see me as quickly as I need or I don’t want to go to the emergency room.
I was worried about going in when i read all the negative reviews. I am not sure what peoples expectations are in this day and age anymore. Maybe the place had just started up. I appreciated all the responses from Premier. Anyway I went today New Years Day and the place was relatively busy. Everything went really smoothly. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor were patient and listen and were caring. I think this place does their job very well. I highly recommend it.
2.5 hours to be seen and leave—and at 9+ months pregnant. Very annoying that they want copay of $15 UPFRONT and I was stuck there waiting. Luckily I didn’t go into Labor while sitting there for so long.Once, I was seen, however, service was good from the nurses to the doctor. That’s why I went in the middle and have a rating of three stars. Should have been more considerate of the fact I am 9.5 months pregnant.
Excellent care and service. Walked in with a real bad cold on Saturday afternoon. They saw me within 15 minutes. Dr. P told me I have pneumonia and would probably end up in hospital. Staff did everything they could to get my vitals up. They contacted the hospital and told them I would be coming in shortly to reduce waiting time. Hospital took me right in and fixed me up in five days. The entire staff was very professional...Highest recomendation imaginable for Premier Urgent Care in Newtown. You CANNOT get better service.
At Premier Urgent Care I received prompt courteous care from the moment I walked in the door until my care was complete. The staff were very professional and took the time to answer any questions that I had. I would definitely return there for care and recommend their facility for my family and friends.
To the extent that a visit to an urgent care facility can be positive experience, this place fills the bill. I needed a number of things done and all were handled in short order. The staff was courteous and the service was prompt. I have already recommended this clinic to family and friends.
I got in super fast (it was around 12:30pm on a Thursday) with minimal paperwork beforehand. Everyone here was very nice and professional. I saw a PA and got a flu test, which came back positive. They sent in prescriptions to my local pharmacy and I was on my way. When the pharmacy didn’t have a specific product in stock, they sent in a new script right away. I’d definitely go back the next time I have a sudden health need.
Good atmosphere, great doctor. Knowledgeable, helpful and straight to the point. Best clinic in the area. Would recommend.
Reviews shouldn’t be based on wait time. Especially knowing these healthcare employees are overwhelmed! Tower health Newtown was clean, kind, and efficient to the best of their ability. Good job guys! From one healthcare worker to another!
I arrived feeling very much under the weather. Staff was friendly, efficient. I’m a health care professional and I believe my evaluation was accurate and medications were prescribed appropriately. The PA also took the time to provide patient education which is often overlooked in my PCP’S office.
The freaking worst! Came here for a tetanus shot… should be all if 5 minutes. There is literally 6 different people in back JUST TALKING while there is a line of people waiting in the waiting room. You would think they would want to get the girl who just needs a shot out first! You know turn over the waiting room so there isn’t as many people waiting. What are the freaking people doing back there?! The patients are just sitting in the rooms while they are talking. Don’t come here it isn’t worth your time or money. Been here for one hour still have not seen anyone. Just for a freaking shot, my god!
A few days ago I went to the emergency room at St. Mary’s Hospital at 10 o’clock at night for terrible pain in my leg, I was there until 4:30 in the morning and finally left, having never even seen a doctor! They are a joke. The next morning I went to urgent care And was treated within 15 minutes. I was seen by a Physicians assistant By the name of Colleen who was very professional and very kind. She diagnosed me By the name of Colleen who was very professional and very kind. She diagnosed me Gave me pain medication, and today I feel much better. I will go there from now on whenever I need to, and will never ever go back to the emergency room again.
Being a retired RN, I’ve always been a little cautious of seeking health care without a recommendation from another health care professional. I ended up visiting family out of state and had to go to this urgent care facility for treatment . I was so pleased with the care I was given! Starting with the friendly greeting from the front desk nurse to the nurse who checked me in, the xRay technician and the PA who diagnosed and prescribed my treatment. I would recommend this facility to anyone without reservation!
I was hesitant to go but since had little option on 4th of July, I was pleasantly surprised how professional and thorough the staff and Dr. Paciotii were in timely processing and correctly diagnosing my acute bronchitis condition. In an hour I was on the road to recovery! Thanks Urgent Care team!
This is an excellent place to receive care. Staff was friendly on phone and got me in right away.Once there the Nurse Practitioner diagnosed my condition and the correct medication was sent to the pharmacy most convenient for me for quick pick-up.The traige nurse was excellent from wrapping my injury, providing home care education and her injection technique was excellent, didnt even feel it.Tom
I’m so grateful for this place! Needed to see a doc quickly late at night on a Sat and the Premier Urgent Care staff were so accommodating, friendly and helpful. It’s great to know they are around the corner if I can’t get to my regular doctor or need to see someone outside of normal doctor hours. 5 stars all the way!
Staff was very pleasant and professional. The doctor who saw my son took his time to hear what the issue was and was very thorough in his feedback and plan of action.
Had a really good experience - didnt wait too long (maybe half an hour), staff was very friendly and courteous. Doctor immediately identified issue and prescribed helpful meds. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this to others.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Doctor came in and spent time with us, and didnt rush us through. Even though it was busy, everything moved along and we didnt wait long. Clean facility.
I walked into this office at 8:00pm with a nosebleed that wouldn’t stop. The staff took me right back and used a miracle product to essentially create a scab on my broken blood vessel. They don’t cauterize there and I did not want to go to ER., and Dr. Pinciotti, who was so kind and caring, used this product that he knew would work. He cleaned up all the blood on my face and hands as if I were family. He even called the next day to see how I was doing. We are so lucky to have this kind of care available to us.
Yesterday we visited there for sprained ankle ! Waiting time was not bad compared to the regular clinic! Doctors and other paramedical team was not very pleasant , they don’t explain much to problems! They are not very professional, just do their job!
The front desk told me when I got their that they weren’t going to be able to provide care to me because they weren’t a PCP. Even though I was seen at their same location for the same exact prognosis. I got an evaluation and what do you know the doctor gave me a script for my infection. So I think people need to learn where it’s there place to speak and not speak for the doctor. Because that’s how I was being treated. As if they knew what they were talking about and they turned out to be 100% wrong and didn’t even apologize for their behavior. Such a shame because the doctors are fabulous here. Your there to TREAT people not to tell them you can evaluate them and get them more upset before they go in to see the doctor. I hope this message reaches management and she gets talked to or more.
Went around 7:30pm on a Saturday night and left within the hour. Quickly diagnosed my strep throat and got me on medicine before end of the weekend. Staff was very friendly professional and efficient! Will probably go here more often than my family doctor!
Prompt, professional, and personable!Dr. Pinciotti, Nurse Lisa, and the other staff were excellent. Very thorough, and very nice. Clean facility. Hoping to avoid the need for medical care for awhile, but I would not hesitate to go back there, if necessary.
Superb. I came before twice over the past years with my son. Smashed chin, glass inside his foot. Friendly, professional, quick service. this time i came for myself. I cut my finger pretty badly, i thought i would be stuck for ages. But i was inside quickly, attended to thoroughly, got a tetanus shot, and a 2nd check up visit had no copay. Everything is healing well. The staff from receptionists to nurses to doctors is amazing. And i also liked the big plazma TV))
Little wait time and friendly atmosphere. I was experiencing severe back pain and instead of prescribing me something for the pain they actually took the time to have me perform a few tests to determine what the pain could be coming from. I had x-rays done on the spot and a quick diagnosis shortly after. This would have taken me weeks to find out if I had gone to my primary. Would absolutely visit again.
I went here in August 2019 and it was probably the best experience I’ve had going to see a doctor. I was seen right away, had X-rays done, was seen by the doctor and out within 30-45 minutes. The staff were friendly and very timely but you did not feel rushed. If I ever have any medical problems I would definitely go here again!
We visited the urgent care when we had a busy day and needed a quick check of my sons eyes. The staff was professional and courteous. We were on our way quickly with a diagnosis and script. Thanks so much!
I know places and people have bad days, and thats usually what ends up on review pages, but we had a great experience at the Newtown urgent care center. Brought my 2 year old in for a high fever and rashes and the front staff was friendly enough. The nurses and doctor were very sweet and patient with my unhappy toddler and we walked out with a diagnosis, directions, and notes for follow up. It was my first experience with any urgent care and it was greatly appreciated.
Front in clerks or two of the nastiest women I’ve ever met. I understand they’re busy and Covid and everything else, but there’s absolutely no reason to snap at anybody ever. Will never go there again. Will tell everyone I know how terrible they treat patients. The doctor was nice though
I came as a patient to this facility yesterday 02.19.2019 and was very pleased with service provided. I would absolutely give 5 stars to the staff and the doctor Joseph Pinciottl. I haven’t received discharge papers, and got only CD of my Xray. Realized it later in a day and decided to go back today 02.20.19 to ask for the paperwork... I came in around at 10:45 am and front desk person was different, not the one that handled the front desk yesterday... I explained to her why I came back and it was so shocking how rude, argumentative, with no patient what so ever, she was... rolled her eyes and whispered something under her nose. Definitely she was not happy to take care of me. When I told her that I do not appreciate the way she’s treating me, the tone of her voice indicated her bad attitude. I asked for the manager she turned around to couple of staff members that were busy talking in the back and asked them who is the manager... one lady answered, also, rolled her eyes and said : “ well, I guess, it would be me”. She was not sure of her title?! So, I did not believe that this woman was a manager in this office. It was so obvious to me that they just made it all up to get rid of me. I, finely got the paper work and left very upset. On my way out I looked true the window and front desk person was still talking to everybody about me looking for support for her actions from couple of people in the waiting room and staff. She couldn’t even comprehend that she was totally wrong in her behavior!!! People like this front desk clerk and their behaviors reflect on the whole practice, in my opinion.I’m sure she will treat someone terribly again if she’ll get away with this and this is why I decided to place this review which I do not usually do. Hope it’ll help someone to prepare for the next visit there. Unfortunately, today the service was very poor and left a bad taste in my mouth. Takes it away from the good, hard working people that do care and provide a good service. So sorry for them...
Caring and kind staff, plus quick service.
Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor was wonderful. So friendly and knowledgeable. Great office!
The waiting time was well over an hour and a half. The lady at the front desk was even SLEEPING! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and will most definitely not be coming back again!
Ill never go back! Sat in there for over 2 hrs with flu symptoms, that turned out to be Covid, Jerry Springer blasting on the tv that on one was watching. Receptionist and dr unfriendly and lack of empathy. Ill go to CVS or RiteAid next time; made a note of it.
Had a great experience over the summer when my 3 yr old had to get stitches in his forehead from a fall. Doctor was amazing and his stitches healed great. Took my 6 yr old there w an obvious eye infection and a different dr (who was very nice) said it wasn’t an infection just a cold. Had to take him to another urgent care on thanksgiving to get ointment. Now he’s fine. A little disappointed.
Im giving you three stars because it took two visits for my son to finally get the antibiotics he desperately needed. Everyone there is nice, the only problem I had is an older nurse with glasses not wearing gloves as she opened swabs for my sons throat, grabbed the trashcan lid to open it to toss the sterile wrapping (it has a step to do that for sanitary reasons) then swabbing my son??? That doesnt exactly seem sanitary to me. My first visit everyone had gloves on for everything.
Attention and caring treatment. No long wait time to be seen. We highly recommend Tower Health Urgent Care for your medical concerns.
Dr gave hand written prescription for poison ivy and he didnt bother to put the quantity so pharmacy wouldnt fill it - called back Tower Health in over 2 hours between the pharmacy and Tower Urgent care to get it straightened out till they finally called in a correct prescription with no missing information. Would not go back to this urgent care againUpdate - now I get a bill & have to waste more time to make sure they applied my co-pay that I paid at the time of this visit. Dr Staff and Billing are the worst - also check out Yelp reviews because a lot of people had bad experience too
We had a very positive experience at Premier Urgent Care in Newtown. We were seen right away. Dr. V, Sadija, Samantha and Alley were all polite, knowledgeable and very friendly. Dr. V listened to my daughter, provided great explanations and put us both at ease. Im thankful to have this great option for medical care when our PCP is closed.
Was turned away with a sick kid citing “we are closing soon”. Perhaps best if you change your hours to the times that you will only be receiving paying patients!!! Disgraceful and incredibly unprofessional — will never waste our time with this place again as there are so many other local alternatives that truly put the health and welfare of their patients and our community first.
I was traveling and fell ill. This office was Very Professional and Effective. Waited less then 10 minutes. Nurse and Dr were very thorough. I would definitely go back if I had the need to see a dr in this area.
The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Dr. PInciotti is great in diagnosing health problems and very thorough in explaining the problems and solutions. Over the past two years my wife and I have used Tower Urgent Care many times and always leave satisfied.
The worst! All they want is to make $ twice. Came here waited 3 hours they saw me for 5 min and did not write me a script for an antibiotic even though I have all the earmarks of a mn infection. PA that saw me was clueless and probably just graduated. Called in 5 times the next day to demand a scripts and they said they were very busy with emergencies. Seriously dont wait your time and just wait to go to a real Dr. Office.
Great visit. I did not need to wait. Staff were very professional and conducted the assessment and diagnosis. Quickly reached the decision of what my medical issue was and prescribed yje next steps. Follow up conducted the next day. Impressive.
My son broke his forearm and the X-ray was done right away. The doctor was very kind and recommended we drive down to CHOP directly for surgery. He had surgery the next day. My daughter broke her collarbone and the same doctor saw her. X-rays were done right away and he wrapped her up. It’s always stressful when your kids get injured. The staff was very kind, friendly, and efficient.
Very quick and attentive care by the MA and Dr. Mangiaracina. Great to have this place as a local resource for non-emergent problems when you can’t get in to see your regular primary care doctor. (Urgent Care is not a substitute for regular medical care by your personal physician or nurse practitioner or PA.)Importantly, there were no attempt to order unnecessary tests or prescribe antibiotics when not medically warranted. Very pleased with my experience. (Disclosure: I am a doctor myself.)
My treatment here was superb. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and private. It was worth the extra 15 minute drive past the urgent Care that I would normally go to. Would definitely use them again
Great experience! Professional and comprehensive care!
Went there. Sat for 45 minutes. Got called up and asked for drivers license. When I said I dont have it since my husband drove the lady says who freaking leaves a house without a drivers license thats not smart. Excuse me. I am a nurse. Get your front desk staff in order with manners. Learn about HIPPA to. Horrible front staff I will be formally filing a complaint also.
Clean, short wait, polite customer service, excellent doctor, X-ray onsite, great communication. I was on the verge of pneumonia, and the doctor acted quickly to help me get the thing turned around. I can recommend them without hesitation.
I brought my daughter (2 year olds) here for pink eye and a double ear infection this Christmas. We travel to the area to visit family. The doctors and nurses were so amazing with her. I personally love the fact that I receive a call checking on my daughter even after we have left the area.
I have used the Newtown location of Premier Urgent Care 3 times now and they get a 5 star rating for each visit. I never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen. The 2 doctors I have seen there were professional, compassionate and thorough. One time they could not assist me after much effort to remove a piece of tile lodged in my hand, and referred me to a local ER where they removed it surgically. I appreciated that referral showing me they knew their limits. They are not an ER and dont pretend to be, however, they are capable of handling most small emergencies that come up when you cannot get in to see your PCP. At the other two visits, they diagnosed, wrote prescriptions for me and I recovered quickly from both. From the front desk staff, to nurses, xray technicians and the doctors...cant say enough good things about these care givers. Thank you.
Went there with a severe pain as I had an infected cyst under my armpit. The physician Assistant said “I can’t do I&D as we don’t have an equipment, all I can do is to prescribe antibiotics , but it need to be drained by dermatologist only“ There was huge abscess ,wish I could upload a pictureBizarre ! Blind treatment !Back to the front desk where I paid 125$ and ask my money back , and omg started drama , they all got upset , the nurse got upset as well and took away the prescription . The front desk told me if I wouldnt leave right away she would call the security and they would kick me out. So I leftWhat was that ??? Treatment ?Horrible Place ! Horrible stuff ! Horrible management as they called to the manager and the manager said no refund ! This is a good example of a Bad Care! Negligent Very unprofessional! Full of dust , I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone !P.s I went to other urgent Care and PA did right away I&D , not a dermatologist !they send the culture as well , that’s the right thing to do for the boil armpit
It says it’s open until 9 PM but it closes its doors at 8:30 PM. My husband had cut in his head and so we rushed there, it was 8:30 PM and the staff was still inside (and saw us standing outside) but didn’t open the door or had a courtesy to come tell us that they were closed. Not sure why they publicized wrong hours.
Waited two hours to see a doctor and the service was awful and rude.
I hv been suffering from fever chills body aches for last 10 days thinking it was viral they did flu and Covid testing came out negative then provider tried to take sample for strep- first she didn’t bother using tongue depressor to get a better sample gaged me 3 times then responded by taking a sigh with OMG!!! She basically said we can’t do anything where now I may end up with pneumonia. No empathy and zero care!!!
Went this morning, Jan. 3rd at 9AM, out by 9:30AM with prescription for sinusitis, staff was very efficient and professional as well as friendly. First time I ever used a facility like this and was extremely pleased, better than any doctors office visit I have had in years. Would highly recommend Premier Urgent Care of Newtown
I always go to this urgent care. They take excellent care of you. Today I came in with bronchitis. I got a pulmonary test. Rapid and PCR Covid test. Chest x ray. Albuterol mini neb. As well as the standard stuff.. Bp. Temp. Ect.I feel they go above and beyond to help you feel better. I’m glad they’re in my community to help me.
Came in on a Sunday to check for stinging pain in my chest near the heart.Receptionist was kind, they let me in for check up immediately since it was heart related.Alec was the PA who went over my symptoms and diagnosis. We believe this may be a rest of heavy lifting. It gave me peace of mind that it was nothing serious.I recommend this team and location for your urgent checkup.
I would highly recommend Premier Urgent Care in Newtown PA. The staff was extremely friendly and got me in and out quickly. If I had gone to the emergency room at the hospital I would have been there for hours.I was in and out in less than a hour and received a phone call the next day checking on my condition. Thanks, Urgent Care
Quick and easy. The staff was great and I was happy with the care. I needed help on a Sunday but knew I didnt need a hospital so this was perfect and convenient.
I came into premier urgent care late Saturday afternoon with a puncture wound. There were only two other people in the waiting room, so I did not wait for long. My injury was more serious than I anticipated, I ended up needing a tetanus shot, an antibiotic shot, as well as oral antibiotics.I went to my pharmacy first thing Monday morning and my oral antibiotics were never called in. When I called the urgent care back, the doctor who treated me was not there or reachable. He also did not include the dosage of the antibiotics I needed on the script, so the doctor on staff had to GUESS what he thought the other doctor intended. Because of the severity of my injury, I didnt want to wait any longer to start these antibiotics, I was told the doctor I saw wouldnt be available till Wednesday. Its unconscionable that my antibiotics were never called in and a dosage wasnt included on the script. If I learned anything from this experience its that Ill never leave another urgent care or office without my script in hand.
Great experience. Clean, no wait, thorough, quick x-rays and accurately diagnosed and treated. I received 2 follow-up calls. The first call was to see how my child was feeling and the second was with additional test results.
I came into the clinic on a Sunday morning along with my son who had a serious infection. When I asked the secretary how many doctors where in this day, the answer was one. She made sure to promptly collect my $50 payment and was told that we would be seen soon. After one hour, we went into a private room where we where met with a person who could have been a nurse (she never introduced herself) who took my sons vital signs. Unfortunately, she made it clear by the way she interacted that she would rather not be working on a Sunday morning. I asked again how many doctors were working that day since another hour went by, and the response was one. When she was done with her work, she commented that Colleen would be in to see us. When I asked the nurse if Colleen was a doctor, she said no, but was a nurse practitioner. I asked her why she gave me a misleading answer, she did not respond. Colleen came in, and to her credit seemed to really want to help, but since I had already lost confidence in this clinic, we declined the IV offer and went directly to St. Marys in Langhorne where my son received excellent care. Since this is my first post ever, I waited a week to write it to make sure I did not overreact. After giving it much thought, I really blame the owner (I have his name but wont publish it yet) of the clinic for not properly training his employees. Since I believe the clinic is guilty of misleading advertising, I will be contacting state agencies if I dont hear back from the owner with an explanation as to why he has instructed his employees to give evasive answers to important questions. My recommendation is to avoid this clinic if at all possible, and instead go to a CVS Minute Clinic for routine matters and the ER at St. Marys for anything else.
I was there today for treatment. Dr. P and the staff were very personable. I was in and out of there in an hour. I’ll definitely be going back if the occasion arises.
A++ - Great experience at Tower Health Urgent Care. Staff kind and friendly. Facility is spotless. PA Eric very knowledgable and thorough. Loved the office going above and beyond with follow up call day after visit to check in. A Huge shout out to everyone at Tower Health Urgent Care in Newtown!
If it hadn’t been a 2.5 hour wait there diagnosis wasn’t on the money theyd get 5 stars Was then referred to ER for IV liquids x-ray to verify pneumonia, flu, non covid virus. Antibiotics urgent care prescribed so far keeping lungs clear. I recommend urgent care to any one for on point diagnosis & Dr. recommendations.
Efficient front office staff and reasonable response time to be seen. Pleasant and friendly medical staff. The doctor was engaging and informative, truly seemed interested providing clear answers- quite informative. I would recommend this urgent care facility without hesitation.
The people were very nice. I realize they were busy. I waited a very very long time. I really would not have cared but I was in a lot of pain. Ive been to this location several times that I have been in and out very quickly. I do realize I had a very bad day. But again I was in a lot of pain and took me over an hour to see anyone.
Yesterday was my first visit to Urgent Care. While busy (5 people ahead of me) , I was signed in and seen within 30 minutes. Nurse and doctor were quite helpful.
Didn’t wait long at all, everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. They even followed up with a phone call the next day to see how I was doing. Best experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care!
Thank you for taking care of my daughter last night. I am especially grateful that several members of your team had to stay an hour and fifteen minutes past closing for her to complete her treatment. And everyone was kind, friendly, and quickly helped her. Thank you!
The website says they treat ALL ages but when we arrived with our 1 year old we were turned down! This practice is a joke ! AVOID
Very impressed with the urgent care and the individual attention they give. Longer wait but worth it
Waited over 20 mins just to be told my insurance wasnt accepted. I was never asked for my insurance info upon arrival, even after notifying front desk that it was my first visit. I have Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. Let thus serve as a PSA if you have this health insurance dont waste your time.
Terrible service. Brought my sister in for an ear infection, charged $125 to be told that she didnt have anything wrong with her and to just keep treating symptoms. Left and immediately went to St. Marys where they confirmed she has a raging infection in both ears. Of there was ever a thing as a refund in the medical world, this was a prime example. Dont waste your time with these guys in the future unless the medical problem is very minor.
I should have realized based on the NUMEROUS horrible reviews of this place I should have listened to the other patients horrible experiences. Arrived on 5/4/17. The lady behind desk didnt even look up or greet us, and walked away and said hold on a minute. Several minutes later she comes back to desk and Rudley asked what we were there for. I informed the lady what the issue was and said hold on I need to speak to the RN. Comes back again and said oh we have other urgent matters and the RN suggests you go the the emergency room. So if my childs issues werent urgent enough for this place, then why was it urgent to be told to go to ER. I asked the lady then what type of emergencies does this place deal with. She said it depends on the circumstances, and we dont have the ability to do an ultrasound. How do they know that was even necessary without even looking at my child. A doctor didnt even look at my child to see if that would even be necessary. I was provided this information by a receptionist and not a medical professional. Never again will I step foot in this place. Maybe its for the best that these so called medical professionals did not see my child because after this encounter of just the 15 minutes I was in there I am not confident at all with the RNs or physicians that work here. Better off getting treatment by a qualified medical professional. Absolutely worst experience I have ever encountered at any doctor office.
Worst experiences ever… terrible wait times, terrible management, just awful . Everyone coming in , complaining about having appointments and having to still wait 2-3 hrs.
I visit Tower Health urgent care on March 12,2023 everyone was helpful . I was very surprised of the people that work there just very helpful and very clean place .Hatsoff to Tower Health urgent care . .
I will ALWAYS go here. Quick, friendly and EFFECTIVE service/healthcare/treatment.
First of all when I first stepped in to the reception area I couldn’t understand the Indian accent on the receptionist besides all that it was a tremendously long wait I must’ve been there two hours before I was seen very upset the scheduled appointments to come before you, so you have to wait even longer Never come back here again
Overall, very happy with our experience. Only waited a few minutes before seeing the PA. He was wonderful with my 6 year old daughter. Great bedside manner. Very impressed!
I went in today to this location with an infection from a callus on my hand. Everyone, the receptionist, nurse, and doctor were truly amazing. They went above and beyond even printing out a Goodrx coupon for the medication I needed. I highly recommend this place.
I typically avoid going to the doctor when I’m sick unless I’m practically dying — but I ended up having to go to this Urgent Care in Newtown, PA because I was incredibly sick. Care was prompt and very thorough. I left armed with several prescriptions. Even though I was in and out in under 2 hours, I felt that I was given the attention that I needed.
I called with an emergency and they were amazing. They said come over and call us when you arrive, I was registered while waiting in my car. I didnt wait very long and they took me into a room and I was seen within 10 minutes.
The staff was very friendly and professional. Billing is another story. I have a really good insurance plan (a ppo: $10 doctor copay & $25 hospital emergency room copay). When I went here twice, they collected $10 both times. Now I am told I owe an additional $140 per visit via their billing dept.
I hurt my back and could barely walk. Everyone at Premier Urgent Care was professional, helpful, and compassionate. The office is clean and I was seen very quickly.
All of you did a great job. There was not a very long wait which was nice and everyone was caring and polite
This was the first time I went to Premier Urgent Care. I wish I could give it 10 Stars. The staff was very friendly and the doctor and nurse who treated me were awesome. I was also in and out pretty quickly.
My sons ankle was fractured, and it was a messed! It was And extremely obvious break too, and I used to work here. So they say that they treat their patients like family. Then I don’t want to be a part of this family. It was absolutely horrible, I will never trust him again. I went to the Newtown one and When I called back to let them know that they have let me believe that my son’s ankle is not broken I got nothing but attitude by the girl who picked up the phone. I will never walk through the doors of a tower health urgent care ever again.
Everyone was super friendly, the wait wasn’t very long, I felt at ease the entire time, the nurses and doctor listened to my issue and helped me
Just left this location after my son cut his eyebrow open on the playground. He was very nervous since this was his first trip for an injury. Dr. Pinciotti was fabulous with him and even had him laughing. Thank you for the great care!
Wow, I am so impressed with the care I received at this facility. The physician spent more time with me during one visit than the orthopedic specialist did during 3 visits. It’s so nice to feel listened to and truly cared for. Thank you!
Waited over an hour to be seen for a deep cut on my index finger while I was bleeding through a paper towel. They lost my chart so people who walked in after me were seen before me. Very poor patient care experience. Should have just gone to the real ER.
Ive been here several times, for me and for my son. Each time the care has been excellent. The staff has been kind, and they take the necessary time to explain everything. Highly recommend.
Pretty fast service! Very friendly stuff and gentle with kids! I just don’t like idea carrying my insurance cart every single time I go there! I’m on files card is on my patient profile!
